Things are ok in MN, DJT.

(As if you think about Minnesota from year to the next.)
TRUMP: If you look at Somalia, they are taking over Minnesota.

REPORTER: What do the Somalians have to do with this Afghan guy who shot the National Guard members?

TRUMP: Ah, nothing. But Somalians have caused a lot of trouble. They're ripping us off.

You've just died
Sixth picture in your camera roll is what killed you.

It freakin' figures.

someone just asked me to repost this as I just dropped off my old & insufficient Mazda 3 at the shop for repairs. If someone in NE has a dog-friendly, winter-ready car they aren’t using that I could use including for rapid response (& potentially live in) that would be incredibly helpful.

Going for a walk. I'll leave you with a pie hot take. However delicious the filling (and pie is delicious), the crust makes the pie.

Here's another wonderful thread with a perfect zine byway.
tell me what you're cooking that you're excited about! i love kitchen drama. i am forgoing the turkey in favor of a low and very slow braise of some good brisket in guinness that will ultimately be a pie. and since dinner is pie, dessert will be be a cranberry cheesecake.

Well this is a wonderful thread!
🧵 As it’s Thanksgiving, I thought I’d share an American artist. John Singer Sargent (1856-1925) was one of the great US painters. He was a dashing portraitist as well as one of the first major artists to explore his sexuality in his art. I love his use of colour & outsider eye! [1]

Truly. If buying clothes makes you stressed and sad because any kind of shopping feels weird and adversarial these days?

Learning to mend is a tiny "whatever" to the private equity information theft labor exploitation stew that gives you that exhausted feeling.
The first things you sew/mend will probably not be good! Who cares! It's soothing and fun to learn little by little. Give it a whirl!
November 27, 2025 at 6:52 PM
There's never been a better time to learn to mend your own clothes than now.
I'm old.

If you're not, listen to this.

Get a guitar or some drums, or a trumpet. Pick up a brush, a pencil, some clay or a welder.

Just make shit. It doesn't have to be good (eventually it will be) just make music, art or write or whatever.

It's literally never been more important.

I’ve gotten my maple syrup from the same place in western Mass for probably 20 years now?

Then there’s the small batch stuff my brother makes.
I love the concept of a maple syrup “dealer.”

Most perfect Jorts merch.
THREAD.

3 years ago, with no warning, a brilliant orange farm cat wandered over from the draughty barn where he had been living, in rural Cornwall, and decided he wanted to live with us instead.

We decided to call him Jim.

This is the first photo I took of him, on that night: December 1st, 2022.

Honest Dog Books in Bayfield, WI for me.

(If you visit, you can say hi to site supervisor retired sled dog Matt Power!)

I haven't been sent scammy products (earbud box with no buds, watered down hair products) since I quit. I haven't missed it. And Bookshop.org is easy to use!

Apropos of nothing, each of Saint Paul’s police precincts holds a monthly meeting where they listen to the public and it’s usually just old people talking about how much they love cops. You can, you know, show up
