Big pink cloud is a hand-painted acrylic painting in a unique horizontal panoramic format by the artist Karen Kaspar. The abstract painting is painted with loose brushstrokes in shades of purple, pink and blue. Above the lower third in darker shades of pink and purple, a large rectangle in light shades of pink stretches across the upper third of the picture. It is reminiscent of a dreamy landscape in summer with a large pink cloud in the dark blue sky above a field of lavender in bloom. The brushstrokes and gradient transitions evoke a soothing and calm atmosphere.

Day 5: Borealopelta

I went speculative on the ‘red’ coloration of this extremely well-preserved fossil, and I have little information on the fossilized Cretaceous flower I found other than it sort of looked like a tulip?

Digital cel-shaded art of a Borealopelta, an ankylosaurus most well known for being ‘mummified’ in stone. The dinosaur sits in an isometric, square chunk of sunlit meadow, surrounded by purple tulip-like flowers stretching upwards. The borealpelta is largely peach-colored with neon pink knobs lining its armored shell. It barely fits on the chunk of earth.
