❄️ 🥁Our first snowfall map is out!!!

Here we go...subject to change:
• Beltway: 5–10"
• SE areas.: 4–8"
• Far NW areas: 8–14"

Change to sleet will cut down snow totals Beltway + SE but result in hard-to-shovel mess.

Anybody thinking the Saarinen terminal is the problem with IAD can't possibly have spent any time at IAD. What the airport does need: replacement of the C/D concourses and completion of the Aerotrain system (including to the international arrivals building) so we can retire the people movers.
The Trump administration received at least 21 ideas to revitalize Dulles Airport.

All would keep Saarinen's iconic terminal but most would turn it into a ceremonial space with a new departures terminal elsewhere on airport grounds.

United CEO Scott Kirby is drawing a "line in the sand" versus American at Chicago O'Hare and will block the latter from gaining any additional gates there.

But American de-hub O'Hare due to losses? That seems (very) unlikely.
