I don't think he was ever an ally, tbh, I think he jumped on board when it was politically expedient and then let his mask drop as soon as it was safe.

Let's repeat that everywhere in the UK by focusing everything on defeating these bigots.

Everybody who thinks GPEW are nimby Tories - wake up and check what Caroline and Carla are up to here.

Forget Your Party, we're the left now in party politics. And we're not beholden to transphobes.

Today I stood with @rmtunion.bsky.social members outside Parliament to oppose the Government’s cruel Skilled Visa changes.

I've spoken with TfL workers facing deportation in weeks, this is a disgrace!

Solidarity with all the workers fighting this injustice.

I still have the letter I got back from William Hague when I wrote to him as a queer teenager arguing for the end of Section 28 and the equalisation of the age of consent - he confidently asserted that Section 28 would never be repealed and age of consent never equalised.

Not once have I seen an explanation for why teenagers must hear things that upset them in virtue of the unspecified speech-acts being upsetting, nor have I ever seen an explanation for why teenagers will be forbidden to express displeasure with upsetting things.
William Hague: Why I’ll banish ‘safe spaces’ at Oxford
The new chancellor tells Cheltenham Literature Festival that there will be no ‘cancel culture’ and students should expect to hear things that upset them
October 14 2025, The Times
The new chancellor of Oxford University has said there will be no safe spaces for students and warned would-be undergraduates that they will “hear things that will upset and offend them”.

1.5 years after I made the Cass Review freedom of information requests, I still don’t know whether it was an individual, a business, a body corporate, a corporate sole, an inquiry, or the Crown.

Perhaps I should just call it, in accounting terms, a going concern.

If we’re running a letter writing campaign, why don’t we tell MPs that the EHRC is asking for their approval or rejection?
reactiveashley.bsky.social
4/ The next battle is likely to take place in Parliament, and we need to ensure the draft Code is rejected. We should start spreading the message and tell MPs that the EHRC is pushing for a vote. I mean they just released a video acknowledging that our sovereign Parliament has the final say. 🤭

Also like, I'm not taking this "migrants need to reach a certain standard of English" from the government helmed by a guy who said "changing the things that need changing and that is the change I will bring about" and whose chancellor can barely complete a sentence under questioning.

But what they actually seem to want is still more emotional labour from women, rather than forming reciprocal friendships that might involve listening to another man being sad.

Whenever I see men complain about the male loneliness crisis or unique emotional/psychological issues faced by men, it’s very clear that they just don’t see women as full people capable of experiencing the exact same emotions they do

Absolutely! The EHRC is really floundering right now, and Bridget Phillipson (so we hear) is getting increasingly annoyed at them.

What better time than now to write (using our easy-peasy tool) and pressure Phillipson to reject the EHRC’s segregationist Code 🤗📝🤗

In one yr labour have banned all healthcare for trans youth - quite literally killing some of them. And banned them from updating their health record = forced outing. They're about to introduce segregation for all trans ppl.

SEGREGATION. Of a minority group.

How will reform be worse exactly?

The ripple effect that most cis people simply don't realise

*EVERY* facet of a trans person's lives is being made more difficult now

From the large to the small, more risk is the goal of violence, cancer, discrimination

All to force trans people out of social, political, legal existence in the UK

Just got a call from a lovely but very nervous Dr, who advised I wouldn't be routinely screened for breast cancer because I'm not indicated as being "biologically female" on the central NHS database and my biology wouldn't indicate I'm at risk.

My records have been altered, which is upsetting.

If your 'guidance' actually reflected the law, you wouldn't be trying to brute force it through without a parliamentary vote.

The 2011 EHRC statutory services code was the result of almost two years work. Numerous consultations were held with relevant stakeholders, including many women's and trans groups.

By contrast, the proposed 2025 code was assembled within weeks, with a one-month consultation assessed by genAI.
