I'm flummoxed by the underground movement to rehab cancelled figures. There's a rumor that a studio head is planning to begin bringing cancelled people back. It's bananas. I think a stuffy nose and goopy throat has been the extent of it all and just my luck (so far?)

On a separate note, our house has been taken down by RSV except for @dixonij.bsky.social (who is somehow clinging to health).
Croissant and I have fared well because we both had our RSV vaccines, but Loaf has had A TIME.

National and regional college rankings are based partially on graduation rates. Schools don't want to mass fail students because it will tank their ratings, and the schools partially rely on those ratings to attract students.
I don’t understand why these professors aren’t just failing these people en masse. Once the kids start having bills due with nothing to show for it, that’s the only consequence they’ll be able to understand

A lot of thoughts in this thread and the replies about whether this is Covid brain damage, social media use, screen addiction or whatever, but as a parent I think it's much simpler.
The kids are learning early on in school that they can do nothing and still get advanced.

An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

I don't *care* about the Bears. Love Chicago, it's a great town. I have no beef with them at all.
But I want my team to play well, and it's infuriating that they're not, and there seems to be no sense of urgency from the coaching staff.

I've seen a few posts/videos recently about Jeweled Lotus and people wanting a possible unban.
