Franklin deserves credit for forcing through a lot of modernization of the program. And you're not keeping those NFL guys who came back if you didn't have the money to pay them. PSU has come very far on that front.

Sunday Thoughts: The Big Ten suddenly looks quite deep.

OSU and Indiana are really good. Oregon's up there. USC looks pretty good. Washington, Michigan and Illinois are solid. Nebraska and Iowa have stabilized. UCLA is suddenly a tough out.
