I'm Marin M. Miller, a voice actor, writer, and vocal technique specialist that been working in anime and games since my first booking in 2006! Here are a few of my most well-known titles--do you know them all?

That scream at the end, though....
Got a call on Friday telling me my whole life MIGHT be thrown off because management refuses to make a deal with overworked/underpaid nurses, then spent the entire weekend panicking about whether or not my bottom half was going to be carved up for weeks, only to be cancelled 19hrs before the knife.

Also frankly I feel like I'm entitled to damages from pain and suffering as needlessly delaying my surgery due to negligence after I've already begun the process of prep is one of the most difficult things I've had to experience. To say nothing of the current political climate against this care.

I filed a complaint demanding financial compensation for:

-the plane tickets friends purchased to be here and take care of me
- 18 months of insurance premiums that I paid while they strung me along
- the co-pay for my surgery when it finally happens
- 60 days of medical coverage post-surgery
Surgery has been delayed indefinitely due to the ongoing strike against Kaiser Permanente.

I am absolutely shattered.

If it is delayed more than 2-3 weeks, I have to find ways of paying for more months of healthcare if I want to continue getting the surgery I spent 18 months preparing for.

There's a saying in organizing that "every unionized worker carries an ununionized worker on their back." We're doing our part! 💪❤️
Last repost is a great example of why a union is statistically proven to raise conditions for everyone, whether they're in a union or not: because union members OFTEN vote to make their privileges & knowledge open to all.

It's union members who do that work, learn those skills, set that up for you!

I was supposed to shower twice yesterday and stop eating after 8pm

I was supposed to wake up at 3am and drink 12oz of fluid and shower again.

I was supposed to check into the hospital in 12 minutes

I was supposed to wake up and be different

I was supposed to rest

Now I have to work

I'm so sad

Thank you, I'll get to work on this once my shift is over

I'm already covered through CC, my coverage went up 60% this year and I was only going to keep it for these two months, then cancel once I was healed. I can't afford a 60% increase to the same plan. And switching to a cheaper plan would increase the cost of surgery from $190 to a $3000-6000 OOP

My full time job has health benefits with a completely different company and I do not have a permanent position so I do not qualify for them. And if I did, I'd have to start over with a fresh referral. 18 more months.

I'm one of the few non-binary voice actors who has vocally transitioned while recording.

Here's an example of a role I worked before and during puberty: Enkidu from the FATE series.

I've also authored trans-centric speech therapy curriculum alongside trans Speech Language Pathologists.

In better news, I'M OFFICIALLY DONE WORKING DOUBLE SHIFTS ‼️‼️‼️‼️

I got the call in the middle of the work day and didn't have time to properly research which strike the person on the phone was referring to. I was devastated and needed to go right back to work, and have worked doubles since 1/5. Forgive me for the misinformation.

I got my details crossed yesterday. Surgery may be delayed as a result of the labor strike called by UNAC/UHCP.

I plan on emailing Kaiser Permanente's CEO at [email protected] demanding that he stop playing games with my care and accept the Nurse's proposal.

Thank you so much for all your help!! I have the minimum I need to stay afloat while I am healing. The extra will go towards covering the 60% increase to my healthcare costs in 2026. Benefits don't kick in for 90 days, even with a job. God bless America!!
Work knows, I can be public about it!

I am scheduled for bottom surgery on 2/4. I do not qualify for Short Term Disability, so I need help staying afloat while I'm down. I'm working double shifts in tech support/writing dub scripts until 2/3, anything is DEEPLY appreciated!

I'm hoping I can eventually complete top surgery, but will most likely have to start over with fresh referrals with a new healthcare provider if my job gives me a permanent offer in April.

I could not get in fast enough. The soonest surgery dates are May. I can't afford my current care that long

Reminding everyone, PLEASE, DO NOT sub to your favorite content creators through phone apps as it not only charges you more, it also takes a higher % from us AND to top it all off blocks the money from being received for 30 fucking days for some goddamned reason.
For fucks sake, again with the apple/patreon bullshit. I have to move to monthly billing and fuck me over www.patreon.com/posts/148395...
