COMPLAINT
Plaintiff, by ind through his undersigned cat-nsel, alleges the following:
INTRODUCTION
1. The D fendants, referred to as "Authorities," have infringed upon Plaintiffs feline rights by ceasing pet and skritches before Plaintiff was ready to signal he was tired of them by typical feline custom (biting the shit out of them, by allowing his food dish to remain half-empty at times, and by foc sing on trivial human concerns such as working jobs to pay rent and buy food.
PARTIES
2. The Plaintiff Atreus is the bestest boy while simultaneously being a brainless gremlin.
Plaintiff is also known by names of "orange bastard, that little dick, screamy little jerk," among others.
COMPLAINT - 1

3. Defendant Eric is a grown man, with a mortgage.
4. Defendant Kat is a paralegal who knows many attorneys, which would worry

Plaintiff if he was not a cat.
5. Defendants currently house another cat named Kya who is not party to this action as
Plaintiff finds her intimidating.
JURISDICTION AND VENUE
6. This Court has subject matter jurisdiction over this action purr-suant to the "Because
I said so clause of owning a cat.
7. This Court has personal jurisdiction over the Defendants because Defendants both
live and work in Virginia and are staff for their cat overlords.
BACKGROUND
8. Defendants have a long history of violating Defendant's feline rights. On or about
February 5*, 2025, defendant Kat was attempting to schedule a deposition when Plaintiff was
participating in his regular duty of being distracting and adorable. Though Defendant proceeded to give defendant scratches, she ceased to go about her human job before Plaintiff could announce he was finished by biting her hand.
9. On multiple occasions, Defendants have entered one of many rooms in their house,
only to shut the door before Plaintiff could follow them. Plaintiff, lacking opposable thumbs, was unable to open the door to ensure his humans were safe or still extant. Plaintiff could only assume
after several minutes that the Defendants had abandoned him, leaving him with no choice but to howl the song of his people in hope of rescue. Defendants' actions constitute intentional infliction
of emotional distress by ensuring there were stretches of minutes while Plaintiff was unsure his head would receive further skritches.
On multiple occasions, Plaintiff consumed the food left in his food dish. Though
Plaintiff waited with patience for all of three seconds, Defendants left is food dish unfilled until a cruel and arbitrary decided point when they decided to refill said dish. Again, Plaintiff experienced emotional distress with such intervals of believing his plump orange body would receive no further

nourishment. Plaintiff acknowledges he could have eaten from Kya's dish, but he feared being

bapped.
11. Despite being the bestest boy, Defendant has not been provided with an increasing number of treats. Defendant is at risk of withering away to nothing.
12. Parties have had a longstanding contract: Plaintiff does nothing and Defendants shower him with love and food. Plaintiff has held up his end of the contract, but previous fact patterns demonstrate there is insufficient love and attention provided.
JURY DEMAND
Pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 38(b), plaintiff demands a trial by jury as to all

Won't say I didn't feel bad about needing the time off pre and post surgery. I did. Not because of the team's words or actions, though.

At no point was I made to feel like a burden. Instead, I was given glares and "don't be doing too much" when I did pop in to help with something.

And, of course, because my luck is ☆~amazing~☆ the aneurysm had an aneurysm-sized thrombus. A blood clot. Yay.

I was basically ordered to bed rest to await my surgery. "Brain and body house arrest" as I called it.

Was not to do anything stressful, strenuous, yadda, yadda

I'm gonna add to this as one of the support staff.

Last year, my heart was being stupid (as is normal for it) and resolved itself quickly... but the d-dimer test my doc ordered showed "there's def a problem".

A chest CT later and we learn there's a large splenic artery aneurysm at risk of rupture.
