This shit is why I'm getting less and less work on anime and having to scramble to ask around with YouTubers for help letting me do their CCs just to pay my damn rent. There's enough anime to caption out there that I should not be fucking struggling.
After publishing this article, I've heard from many that CR seems to be using AI to produce dub CCs. Now, thanks to a slip-up CR had with episode 6 dub of The Banished Court Magician, we can say that with 100% certainty: Crunchyroll is using the AI service Ollang.com for its dub closed captions!

I FINALLY got an MVP play as Rocket Racoon in Marvel Rivals. It's a Thanksgiving miracle.
The clip isn't particularly impressive since Rocket is a support character, but hey, I'll take it.

Reminder that the Gkids release of Tokyo Godfathers has an English dub where Hana is played by a trans actress (who also helped with the dub script, too!) and she is FANTASTIC.

Back at Anime Expo earlier this year, Bandai had handed out these smaller free Gundam RX-78-2 trial Gunpla kits, and I've only just now put it together. Fun to do at a brisk pace. Dunno how many times I've built some kind of RX-78 now, but you can never really get enough of them.

Others often mean well & I try to keep that in perspective. But ultimately the result is the same. Either they take off far down the road in the game without me, schedules get messed up, people did not understand what kind of game they were getting into, or in some cases they just flat out ghost me.

I must be doing something wrong--hyping myself up to play with others, only to be let down. After 20 years, you kinda just have to give up sometime, and I guess 20 years is kind of a long time to keep trying.

At this point, I just have to accept that I'm not getting my PS2-era of dedicated friend-play with people on an MMO back. I've wasted too much time trying and being bummed out about it when it doesn't happen.

And with that, I've completed all the missions in the Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion. This marks the farthest I've ever played in XI. From this point on, starting with Wings of the Goddess, this is all territory I never completed.
