I remembered when this went down and Wendee Lee looked very bad here, not just because she went at other VAs for comforting Anairis, but because Anairis was already getting backlash for simply being cast as Yoruichi and Wendee made it 100 times worse. Anairis didn't deserve that at all.
One of the reasons I've mostly dipped from VO is I'm so tired of disgusting people never being held accountable

When you REALLY think about it, any anime fan who wants AI to replace localizers and voice actors is the real anime tourist...because why the fuck would you let soulless AI ruin the thing you love because YOU got a personal grudge against people who are doing their jobs? Makes no sense to me.

So Crunchyroll is ending their ad-supported anime at the end of the year, which is crazy because I've had a Crunchyroll account for years and the reason I watched them in the first place was because of free anime with ads and then I got a sub. It is what it is.

It appears that Amazon has removed the AI dub of Banana Fish. Great news!
I mean, at this point, since it's become a topic, Amazon needs to get a dubbing studio and real VAs so we can get an official English dub for this show.

On my second playthrough of Silksong and I beat Lace 2.0 on the first try. Definitely getting better at beating these bosses. I don't think I'll do Steel Soul Mode though. #Silksong

If anything good has come out of that Banana Fish AI dub, it's the fact that it's now become another perfect example of why AI can't replace the hard work of actual VAs and script writers.
