A reminder. Scary season starts on October 31, and continues until epiphany, in January.
Adam Poots does the best Black Friday sales. It’s the only time of the year everything is reliably in stock. And most of it is deeply discounted. And he reopens the pledge manager for his past Kickstarters as a way to preorder.

Best time of the year to get into Kingdom Death: Monster, really.

The reason Roboute Guilliman is such a beloved character among the Middle Aged section of the 40k fanbase is basically that he has depression from realising this is true but not quite having enough effective power to make it happen.

When you post about Recently Deceased Famous Person and say anything akin to, "I know they were a hateful bigot, but here's all the reasons they were important to me," you are telling the people they persecuted that you aren't safe for them, because their persecution isn't a dealbreaker for you.

What’s the correct past tense of “to plead”?

Plumbing issues are my domain in our domestic fiefdom. Karen got the electricity.

The worst plumbing issue occurred shortly after we moved in. The sewer started backing up into the basement.

Apparently, we had a “belly” in our sewer line. Just beyond the reach of the inspector’s scope.
OK, on the whole I'm satisfied with owning a condo but there are some aspects of this homeownership that are absolutely ass - starting with plumbing.

This was the thing that made Katniss realize that neither side in the Second Panem Civil War was on the side of the angels.

(I needed background noise while painting, and HBO was aggressively pushing the series).

All of this is correct. But there’s also the problem of “how can you tell whether President Biden authorized the use of the auto pen?” Presidents can’t be able to declare their predecessor’s fate void ab initio on the basis of a post hoc justification.
Trump claims “any document” signed by Joe Biden is “hereby terminated.”

He calls out executive orders later but obviously “any document” would be much broader and include legislation.

(He can’t legally do that but, as always, we get to watch how far he can push this without repercussions)
