Okay, folks. For reasons beyond my control, the series had to be retitled, so allow me to officially make a re-introduction to
REMNANTS, BOOK ONE: DUST.

(ASHES, book two of the REMNANTS duology, is also available. New audio versions aren't up yet, but will be soon.)
(Yes, I've now gone and canceled Hulu directly. No, I do not expect that trying to raise hell through their automated systems would get me anywhere.)
Apparently they decided that when I canceled the Disney+ bundle that included Hulu, I *must* have meant I wanted to transfer over to Hulu only, as opposed to canceling all of it.

(Which is, of course, *more* expensive than the bundle was.)

To say I'm peeved would be underselling it.
Last month, I canceled my Disney+ subscription, as so many of us did. My subscript included Hulu as part of the bundle.

This month, I got charged... for a Hulu membership.
I'd prefer it be additive--that is, it adds the kintsugi as a new option, rather than replacing an existing scar or tattoo selection--and it needs to be Patch 8-compatible. (I've had too many experiences of mods messing with my game, or with other mods.)

Any such thing exist?
Silly question for those of you still deeply into Baldur's Gate 3.

I'm looking for a mod that will allow the addition of Dame Aylin's kintsugi/cracks to other characters of all races (or at least all non-small races).
(I hate synopses. I'm awful at them. And I've *never* written a one-pager.)
I should be writing a one-page synopsis of SHEEP'S CLOTHING right now.

No, like this moment. Should be writing that. Immediately.

Soon.

Any minute now...
I would follow this up by saying that, even as a marketing label, it's flawed. Sometimes it describes aesthetic (i.e. sci-fi, western), sometimes it describes type of plot (i.e. mystery, horror), and those are two very different pieces of info.

"Genre" should work on a grid, like alignment in D&D.
Is there a good source online for reading some one-pagers for scripts that you all would consider solid examples to use in writing one of my own?

(Bonus points if they're actually one-pagers for scripts that were made into movies that I might have actually seen.)
I'll do a search for this myself if need be, but I'd prefer recommendations from people I trust.

One of the oddities of the weird way I came to script writing is that I've never had to do a one-page synopsis. I've got one-paragraph pitches, and the scripts themselves, but nothing between.

So...

And to the promises not yet kept:

With liberty and justice for real.
Billie Eilish should sing the theme song to the upcoming It prequel, Welcome to Derry.

"You Should See Me in a Clown."
I shall report back after seeing it in play for a time, in case anyone is interested in me sharing it.
As I have a warlock in my current campaign who hasn't been entirely satisfied with the class either, I have kit-bashed a homebrew version by smooshing together some elements of the warlock and the sorcerer, to create a full 9-level caster version of the warlock concept.
I have always loved the flavor of the warlock class in 5E D&D, but I've never been a big fan of the mechanics. (There's nothing wrong with them per se, they just don't play the way I want a "warlock" to play.)
Me: I'm going to run this D&D campaign differently than my previous ones.

Also me: I'M FREAKING OUT WHY DOES THIS CAMPAIGN FEEL SO DIFFERENT
I don't know if any of Jason's movies were ever "good," as much as I truly enjoy some of them.

I honestly feel the only two Freddy movies that can even pretend to "good" were the original and New Nightmare, and even those--again, with all love and respect--have deep flaws.
I hadn't even heard there was a new one, though I can't pretend to be surprised.
I will be crucified by my fellow horror fans/writers for saying this, but the truth is that most of the classic horror franchises survived on the strength of their concepts (and, in cases like Freddy, performances), rather than their execution. The execution of most was, overall, lackluster.
You ever look at the size of something in the litter box and think "There's gotta be a fucking Doberman hiding somewhere in this house"?

It's super on-brand that people like Hegseth love the Spartans, who were artless, slave-keeping, murderous fascists despised by pretty much EVERYONE, but they never talk about how the Spartans were ultimately defeated by a heroic army of... let me double-check my notes... yep... gay democrats.
True, but we could at least have a social media option where the mods actually cared about marginalized people.

I mean, I'm safer here than many, and I will in part take my cue on if/when to leave by the preferences of the more greatly endangered.

I'm just deeply disappointed.
