I would beseech the national media to stop writing sentences like one I just read that said basically "ICE's time in Minnesota is almost up." That is NOT an established fact. Please do not turn away. Please check the readily available information from people on the ground and local journalists.
From everything I’m hearing and reading, nothing in the ground in the Twin Cities has meaningfully changed.

Has anyone done a story on Twin Cities auto-glass places being flooded with window replacement orders? Or just body shops in general seeing a big influx of repairs?

So moved by the French people supporting us. Now the French government has pressured a company to end a dystopian private immigrant-surveillance ICE contract. wapo.st/4q6PupC

Re the Stancil situation. I certainly don’t mind Will and his Honda Fit getting outsized attention - struck me that he’s doing the work & doing it for good. But as someone who has dealt with the media during this, vulnerable people always always have to be protected. Advance notice, permission, etc

Heard any interesting/heartening thing from the courthouse today. Jurors. Usually people do their duty but they’re a bit crabby about it. Judges can sense it. Not since the ICE invasion. Fewer absentees, fewer excuses, more commitment, more focus. It’s like civics matters & they‘re defending it.

Amen. But the video adds a ton of power to the song.
Honestly, hard to watch the video for "Streets of Minneapolis." Seeing the last weeks all together here, the video clips and photos ... is a lot. It's really well done, but also awful.

Friend in a non-neighboring state asked how they could help us resist here. Thought it might be good to crowdsource ideas. Please be earnest & all sincere ideas appreciated.

My colleague seems to think we should focused on protecting ICE agents right now. Not our neighbors who are being terrorized by them in the streets? I'm sorry, I disagree.

If it‘s the one near me, you need to know that a lot of ‘60s OGs live there. Easiest sale ever.
It says a lot about the state of the Twin Cities that when visiting a relatively affluent senior housing complex I noticed piles of whistles set out for taking on a table by the elevator.

Q: Can you be specific about how many ICE and CBP agents are currently operating in the state?

In Mpls, 3 conventions to elect delegates to: city (school board), state (constitutional offices, legislature, Congress), county (attorney, commissioners, sheriff)
I’m backing:
- Senate: Peggy over Angie
- CD 5: Ilhan over LaTonya
- Hennepin: Frazier (Atty), Greene & Fernando (contested commish) 1/
Any unofficial recommendations you have on who we should try to caucus/support for Tuesday?
