A Government of cowards.

Rather than tackle inequality - they've gone for pensioners, disabled people and now it's people fleeing war and persecution.

They can't get away with this.

The way this Govenrment are treating some of the most vulnerable people in the world is disgusting.

And they the audacity to pretend it's coming from a place of compassion and concern.

Their only actual concern seems to be dancing to the tune of the far right rather than tackle inequality.

Bovino is the kind of guy who gets power when people like Obama and Biden try to appeal to Republicans by “getting tough” on immigration, only to have the very weak leash taken off under someone like Trump. Lesson: stop trying to be and appeal to shitty republicans on this core stuff.

I think Brexit was garbage. But if in 2025 you're still pedalling "all we need to do is reverse Brexit!" you're ignorant. Everything before Brexit was fine, obviously. It was definitely ALL Brexit and not the six years of austerity before that and the 31 years of untempered Thatcherism before that.

It's important to note, as I have multiple times, that it's possible to be Jewish - as I am - and still condemn Israel for genocidal acts. In fact, the history of Judaism makes it clear Jews are obligated to speak out. Never again *means* never again. #zachor
Antisemitism is a lot like Qanon child abuse conspiracies in that there’s this real and bad phenomenon and, parallel to that, what can only be described as a large scale mass psychosis about a mostly fictional version of the same phenomenon

Look, I know this weaponization of male academic interest is the oldest story in the book, but it’s just so, so pernicious. It’s awful to the women directly involved, but it’s also awful to *all* women in the academy, who have to live in its shadow all the time.

Keep in mind that Labor took power because the Tories/Conservatives fucked up so bad under successive prime ministers (including the lady who was outlasted by lettuce and then went hardcore far-right anti-woke) and they're essentially blowing a 3-1 lead because of centrism.

We're witnessing an intentional culling of the lower class.

Currently over 50% of consumer spending is done by the top 10% & companies are adjusting their products & pricing to cater solely to an audience with "fuck you" money w/o concern for who is getting priced out.

Housing. Food. Everything.
Seven out of 10 marketplace enrollees say if Affordable Care Act tax credits go away, they won't be able to afford their healthcare.

Healthcare shouldn't only be for the healthy and wealthy, but that's what's going to happen if these tax credits go away for good.
