If you saw footage of Nepal's protests this month, it's a fair chance you saw it from WeHateTheCold, a British travel vlogger who stumbled into the revolution and started filming. I spoke to him about it for @wired.com www.wired.com/story/how-a-...
How a Travel YouTuber Captured Nepal’s Revolution for the World
Harry Jackson went into Kathmandu as a tourist. He ended up being one of the main international sources of news on Nepal’s Gen Z protests.

Agents in Key Largo, Florida ripped this woman wearing medical scrubs out of her car as she screamed she is a US citizen. Agents cuffed her and put her in one of their cars.

She was eventually let go, per David Goodhue of the Miami Herald, who also took this footage:

"Wrapped" is the single most creative way to sell "our service collects data on you constantly and that's fun." Spotify figured that out first. They have yet to hit a second innovation that endears them to users, despite trying such tactics as "ads for ICE" and "paying musicians bupkis."

did… did he not think Biden “secured” the border when Dems did their border and asylum crackdown
Jeffries: "The border is secure. That's a good thing. It happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it, of course he'll get credit for that. In terms of making sure that we actually deal with the issues that matter, including on immigration, there's a lot that's left to be desired."

THEY KISS HORSES, DON’T THEY? / FOUR FASCIST CONCEPTS

What are ‘libidinal politics’? What the fuck is a ‘machinic assemblage’? Why are these men terrified of women? We look at four ideas in the fascist imaginary and head down to the stables to look at some freaks.

Since everyone is posting spotify wrapped, I'll say this: Pulp's "MORE" is the album of the year but Young Fathers' "Lowly" from the 28 Years Later score is song of the year. Just a banging, inventive, emotionally gripping song. And if you think otherwise you're wrong www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTl9...

Mike Johnson, second in line to the presidency and its role as commander-in-chief, has spent the last two months repeatedly claiming not to have heard of various big news topics including the ongoing, nearly two-dozen strikes on boats in the Caribbean and Pacific. Either he's lying or ignorant.
RAJU: If defenseless survivors were killed, would that constitute a violation of the laws of war?

MIKE JOHNSON: I'm not going to prejudge any of that. I was pretty busy yesterday. I didn't follow a lot of the news.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: Democrats can't hold official committee hearings, but they absolutely can gather in a room and invite people to answer questions and stream it live and invite the press to cover it.
NEW: Jim Jordan and House GOPers refused to let the American public hear directly from Jack Smith, per his attorney.

Today was the first day in weeks I didn't have to wake up and immediately start work/rush out the door for work. Sat on my stoop drinking coffee and reading The Onion and didn't look at my phone. It was...fun? Nice? Very weird experience.

Democratic collaborationism (like not backing up Ilhan Omar, like voting for the CR, etc) is a serious fucking issue & has advanced & enabled fascism.

Sure elites have the most power to do something.

I’ve come to realize that they also usually have “the most” to gain by collaborating.
