100s of #CDC employees were notified Friday they were being fired — RIF'd. The firings cross multiple parts of the agency, endangering its core mission of keeping Americans safe.
Saturday, some were informed they were RIF'd in error.

Do not underestimate the pain and suffering caused by this incompetence.

These are real people affected and I've talked to several of them living through this turmoil starting with DOGE and continuing with this.

It's stressful, depressing, exhausting, costly, wasteful and more.

Earlier you said Dems, or progressives weren't saying the same thing MTG is now saying when that's false. Nearly every Dem is saying release the Epstein files; support the victims and defend Obamacare.

Per CDC source: At internal leadership meeting this afternoon, it was shared that 1,257 people were RIF'd at CDC. Number may not be final. Apparently, chief of staff was unaware that RIFs were going to occur so not clear who is making decisions. (Short 🧵)
