Ed isn't necessarily wrong here, but it's notable that Baron George Osborne of Gatley is missing from this circle.

That'll be because Ed served with him in the same government, and consistently toed the Tory line on austerity measures.

Pretending to have ever given a shit about child poverty, after voluntarily maintaining the two-child benefit cap & suspending seven of your own MPs who wanted it scrapped, looks like exactly what it is—incredible cowardice, mendacity & hypocrisy.

A terrible politician & a worse person.

Its true genius is perpetual serfdom, whereby the populace actually believes no one deserves anything, and life is just a bloody Darwinian contest. Most especially those who once attended university, who think their DoE award is a gore-caked bludgeon. Maybe a shin bone.
Britain is a country where the ruling class is utterly determined to convince you that people not only don’t deserve nice things, they don’t deserve anything at all.

I'm sure that the OBR leak of Rachel Reeves's make-or-break budget has absolutely nothing to do with Rachel Reeves wanting to weaken the OBR.

Oh the LOLs involved in the UK's budget statement being leaked by the Office of *Budget Responsibility*. Incredible shade there.

Everything being done to make an already risible government even more slapstick. Bar's closing, time to go.

Trial by jury to be scrapped under the pretence of efficiency, with a full fascist takeover just a couple of years away.

Dystopian, unforgivable shit.

Only cases of alleged murder, rape or manslaughter will be decided by a jury under new proposals to cut court backlogs.

It's gonna be hilarious when Farage—a creature of the reactionary media—has the reins of government in his nicotine-stained hands, and goes full Orban on the guys that made him what he is.

Anyone claiming that the Labour Party is becoming as bad as Reform UK on immigration is completely mistaken—they're already worse.

Well, here we are.

Worth noting that the "restoration of order" and the concept of unity through exclusion were core tenets of a certain armband-loving, flag-parading bunch of bros from about 100 years ago.

CONFIRMED

If you're a member of the world’s second-largest unelected legislative body & are caught offering parliamentary services & lobbying for private firms, you aren't expelled for misconduct, no sir, you just get a stern telling-off & a few months in the sin bin.

Again, I'll ask whether anyone actually thinks allegations like this sink rightist politicians, or whether they are just a hammer to bludgeon the Left with?

Then I'll point to Farage appearing on Alex Jones's show periodically for the last 16 years and say that the answer is "fuck no."

Can't be stressed enough the role of The Daily Telegraph—a British print-version Inforwars—in helpfully prestige-washing and de-gutterising Reform UK.

It's now not just a party for nativist oafs like Lee Anderson, but also christofascists and toffs like Danny Kruger.
