A reminder that child poverty is very definitely a political choice, and one of those "hard choices" that the political class are always more than willing to make, while other things remain immutably non-negotiable.

Doing well, I reckon.

8, maybe a 9 out of ten for justice.

I'm really sorry to hear that. It's a government sanctioned scourge. I've personally known of three people who have lost everything down to gambling and the suffering becomes generational. Any uncontrolled addiction a menace.

To be clear, the MP in question—& former chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for professional wrestling in the UK (no joke)—was questioned on her record on the Gaza genocide, in her own constituency, during an election campaign. This was the crime.

Oh 💯, nobody that knew the wider Indian community would say there are some Singhs with a big problem there.

I wonder if you'd agree with this from your perspective? I know a lot of my friends do.

On a related note, from my ties to people in the British Indian community, sons & daughters of immigrants, I can think of no ethnic minority in the country less aware of what's coming down the pike, specifically to be pointed at them.

The level of complacency and denial is actually terrifying.

Exactly. Pretty sure the defections will come but they are not doing themselves any favours at all.

Which is genuinely what some of the Labour MPs of good conscience (there are a few left) should be doing!
