I have closed the Medway Hospital charity appeal. We have raised £2,473.29.

Thank you, all of you, for your generosity, your kindness, and for sharing your stories. I am in awe of the power of people. And it has made me hopeful again. Thank you so much. Words will never be enough.

Yes Djed! Some ball in, that, as calamitous as the defending was.
Tbh, Tuchel misread it. He took aim at the home crowd, which is pretty demonstrably families with young kids. It was a low blow. And he deserves to hear about it. I'm with the fans (even if we do have the worst gaggle of away support you can imagine lol)
Feels slightly odd for England to have such a dynamic and exceptional left winger, after such a fallow period in the early 2000s, but Anthony Gordon really is mustard, isn't he?
I'm far more impressed if an author can tell a complete story in 150 pages as opposed to doing it across 700.
Iceland having a right go against France, and they're 1-0 up! Reykjavik is bouncing. Incredible scenes
Have just realised that the plot of Mother Simpson is basically identical to that of One Battle After Another and it only increases my admiration for the film tbh
I didn't breathe for about an hour of The Zone Of Interest. I don't know if that's because it's designed to be 'stressful', as opposed to being horrific, but it was a singular cinematic experience.
Tuchel taking aim at England fans after a 3-0 win in which all of the goals were scored within 20 minutes is certainly a choice. Wembley has always been crap for atmosphere, for one, and it's a bloody friendly!
Have joined them. All I can do innit
England's game against Wales, both teams walked out with adult mascots who have been affected by Alzheimer's
The Alzheimer's Society partnership here has me a little bit misty, what a beautiful thing to do.
My local have started editing their hours, they used to open at 1pm and go until 11pm, but now they don't open until 4pm four days a week, and they're discussing the prospect of also opening at 4 on a Friday. This a pub that has multiple events a month, and is usually pretty busy. No way this helps

This is the correct energy. Rapid and withering response. British politicians too often cower before a voracious press. You have to go at them as hard as they go at you.
My secret evil plot to ‘destroy Britain’ has been unveiled by (checks notes) the same paper that endorsed Liz Truss.

If I don’t know better I’d say we’ve got them entirely rattled.

I've never seen The Wire
Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.
Saw Spurs win, then went to Wagamama for dinner and watched One Battle After Another. Proper Saturday, that. Anyone complaining about Tottenham's performance is a lemon.
One Battle After Another is astonishing. A movie for our times that also feels prescient and fresh and pulse-poundingly different. See it on a huge screen.
WE WON! BEFORE AN INTERNATIONAL BREAK! MATHYS TEL SCORED! KUDUS SCORED! YAY!
Given that both are bad, it's not looking good!
Really do think Spurs need to have a conversation with Vicario about whether or not he can continue to be No.1. He seems to be regressing, and Kinsky has shown flashes of promise.
Vicario is trying really hard to give Kinsky a run-out, blimey
MATHYS! More of that, lad, much more of that!
