I will say this about being thrown under the bus: the view fucking sucks, but at least you get a good look at how the machinery works.

Every time you see Mike Davis do Mike Davis things, think about Gorsuch reportedly helping land Davis a job at DOJ, then choosing him as a clerk when he was on the 10th Circuit, then choosing him as a clerk when he was on the Supreme Court.

Hakeem Jeffries posted pictures of two Rep. Members posing with “Young Republicans” who were part of a racist text thread (as reported by Politico).

In response, Mike Davis (well-connected in Trump World & on the Hill) called Jeffries a “house slave” for George Soros - proving Jeffries’ point.

very funny that JD Vance has so little to do with his time that he goes on podcasts to defend 30-year-old men for saying how much they love Hitler
atrupar.com
JD Vance dismisses Young Republicans who in a group chat said "I love Hitler" and joked about slavery and rape as "a bunch of kids" who "told stupid jokes" and adds that "most of the stupid things I did when I was a teenager and young adult, they're not on the internet."

I just realized that Bill Cipher's last name isn't just Alex Hirsch being like "I love ciphers!" it's a play on the gag of a character giving their name as, like, "Louis Cipher." Goddammit I am SLOW sometimes.

No, but I've had songs that when I hear them I'm like "Holy shit this is going to be my new obsession" and then I completely forget they exist for years again.

Listen. Listen to me very carefully. I was born in the 70s. I grew up in the 80s.

When I hear "radical" my first thought is not "dangerous extremist." Hell, I was young enough through the early 90s that even the word "extreme" doesn't have the same connotations.

I don't think I've ever received a single communication from the DNC that isn't a solicitation.

Nothing about what their positions are, what their agenda is, their accomplishments... Anything to make me want to give them money.

I guess when you don't have results to talk about...

This is such a facile claim right on its surface when we consider the vicious murder of Balbir Singh Sodhi on September 15th, 2001 as “revenge” for 9/11 despite him not being an Arab Muslim but a Punjabi-American Sikh and immigrant.

It was literally not just Muslims being punished *for* 9/11
chadstanton.blacksky.app
So a couple people have now hinted at the idea that Black people didn’t have it so bad post-9/11 because Muslims had it bad. This ignores that there were and are a lot of Black Muslims. This also ignores that more than one group of people can be targeted for state violence. It’s never just one group

Like seriously seriously, are we talking about a country that *simultaneously* had the Chinese Exclusion Act, Jim Crowe, AND the fucking Trail of Tears??? All at once??? You think America suddenly couldn’t split its hate-focus post 9/11 uniquely??????

They have 100% always been this way, though notably the transition from helicopter rides and referencing crushing minorities abroad humorlessly transitioned to nazi shit, but like that's basically a new layer of paint instead of a new perspective.

For those tempted to say Young Republicans have always been this way, they really have not. When I worked on campus and did bipartisan college events after, they were very much not like this.
That's why groups like YCT and eventually TPUSA formed -because Young Republicans weren't radical enough.

"Viewpoint diversity" is not a thing.

It is, as always, the right's attempt to portray themselves as oppressed for having shit ideas nobody wants.

Their crap performance is somehow oppression.

The way this ends is forced attendance at right-wing "comedian" performances.

Vance, miserable liar that he is, referred to these bigoted, Nazi-flavored Young Republican posts as a "college group chat."

But most of the quoted in the Politico article are GROWN ADULTS with JOBS.

ADULT REPUBLICANS RUNNING A REPUBLICAN ORGANIZATION.

Do NOT use vanilla in place of sherry! I just made this exactly as written and used vanilla since I didn't have sherry. It is now down the disposal. The smell alone was a huge indicator of what it would taste like. Whoever thought of vanilla with meat? Nasty.
