Looking forward to the incredible network analyses that will come from the Epstein files.

I had the ‘pleasure’ of interviewing a farmer’s wife in rural Washtenaw County. She had opinions, but her husband kept interrupting. Maybe women weren’t submissive, but husbands tried to be dominant.
I am saying that none of these social scientists collected data that can test those claims. E.g., they did not ask husbands if they told their wives how to vote, or vice versa. Some men might have told their wives how to vote, but we cannot determine if and how widespread from their research.

Whatever these guys wrote, by the late 60’s they were teaching the ‘same environment’ mantra. But then there was a woman’s movement.

Congratulations, fellow yellowhammer!
I got an early career scholar grant from APSA. Yaaaaaay!

To anyone who thinks it’s an “exaggeration” that the rule of law is in danger…

U.S. Senator Mark Kelly is being investigated for the “crime” of telling people not to commit crimes.

We’ve fallen far.

Breaking: Due process is leftist.

Suspension should go back to the legal Status Quo. The doctored map is illegal. Another corrupt use of the dirty docket.
While I agree with 90% of the sentiment, I believe this move by Alito is standard suspension of lower court ruling until it can be brought before the entire court.

The court does have to address the findings of the lower courts. A well reasoned and longer decision by appeals is hard to overturn.

Lower court: The facts: Texas produced a Racist gerrymander. Illegal. SOCTUS: Racism OK. Go back to the racist map.

Trump gets: $5 billion in crypto deals, a $400 million plane, a $300 million ballroom, millions in deals from Facebook, Amazon, CBS.

Everyone else gets: higher prices for health care, electricity, and groceries.

Corruption, plain and simple.

San Antonio’s new Museo del Westside opened in October. It honors the unique heritage, culture, and people of the historic West Side. It’s housed in a former ice house that served as a grocery and gathering place for the community for decades.

Border Patrol: get back to your real work at the border. You are not authorized to be in NC.

Even Alabama unmasked the Klan in 1949.

It’s coming from people who call themselves Christians.

Abetted by Abbott, hate speech against Muslims is building in Texas. If this continues, someone will get killed.

Reread the list of grievances in the Declaration of Independence. Now compare them to the Trump Administration’s actions.
NEW: Epstein survivors release the most powerful PSA I have ever seen.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

At the newspaper all the office staff were exclusively women, while the printers were all men. The telephone operators were women. Many sales were made by women at Rosenberg’s Department Store and the 5&dime. Cafe cooks were Black women.

So many women were in the workforce in the 1950s and 1960s. It’s not new. In my semi-rural small town neighborhood, Mrs Ellis taught school. Mrs Nave was a nurse. Mrs Serfustini was editor of the newspaper. Mrs Floyd managed a drugstore. Mrs Pilgrim worked at the hospital. Etc.

Trump's pardon of allies who helped him try to subvert the 2020 election is important. It's a permission slip--no, it's an encouragement, even an order--to allies to be ready to try to subvert the elections in 2026, and 2028.

remember all those hot takes during the primary about how Mamdani was the candidate for rich white liberals? a "champagne socialist" ?
yeah, about that

Auburn has less than 5 percent Black in its student body—less than half of the University of Alabama in a state more than a quarter Black. Making Black students less welcome with stunts like this is disgraceful.
