Whatever these guys wrote, by the late 60’s they were teaching the ‘same environment’ mantra. But then there was a woman’s movement.

At the newspaper all the office staff were exclusively women, while the printers were all men. The telephone operators were women. Many sales were made by women at Rosenberg’s Department Store and the 5&dime. Cafe cooks were Black women.

Auburn has less than 5 percent Black in its student body—less than half of the University of Alabama in a state more than a quarter Black. Making Black students less welcome with stunts like this is disgraceful.
