I hope that this doesn't just become about "Nuzzi is bad" but fosters a wider recognition that our culture of political journalism that didn't just tolerate her, but promoted and celebrated her even after the allegations were known, is rotten to the core and has been for a long time.

Doing an Animorphs re-read book club with @gyro.bsky.social because Tobias rewired my brain as a kid, but I was not prepared for just how *immediately* that kid was cooked. This is in book one, and he’s been a hawk like 2-3 times tops by this point. He’ll be one permanently by the end of the book.

Having worked on MMOs for much of my career — all of which by nature have heavily online and engaged fanbases — one of the biggest problems your design and community teams have to deal with is charismatic idiots.
One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.
