I spent WEEKS researching a specific environmental permit to understand what the unique clauses in it were and determine if they were necessary to continue forward into the renewal - they were.
My superiors were angry about this.

Thing is, AI doesn’t know that. It doesn’t know what’s an improvement in response to caselaw or circumstances and what’s just a change for the sake of change. It doesn’t know shit.

Archaeologist here. For 99.5% of human history (ca 300-400,000 years), we were peaceful (no war). There was conflict and smaller scale violence, but countless studies on the 119 known modern hunter gatherer groups show cooperation, negotiation, and peace instead of conflict. Please read books.
Revenge/physical combat was how people settled things for literally millions of years, it's normal human behavior, we're wolves not sheep, the government project trying to social engineer us and domesticate us into sheep has been unsuccessful

Very persuasive. Worth underlining that there are trade-offs. If your goal is to "improve the writing," but also "keep this accessible to the widest possible audience, and don't advocate any specific perspective," you are pulling and pushing on the same lever. Humans can't both pull & push either.

The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon
