I appreciate that the two things I saw popping up most often today were folks (more queer women than anyone else) gooning over this clip from a totally random Rhea Seehorn interview…

Shit, this just reminded me that we’re coming up on the 40th anniversary of Challenger next month.
Engage! Ok that was a lot of fun. First time I’ve LEGO’d in probably 15 years.

I wonder if there was ever even a conversation at the Fox marketing department about whether or not they should embrace the obviously-sarcastic ‘we’ve got a gun to our heads’ title from the show’s clip show-loathing writers
#OnThisDay December 3, 1995, "The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular" first aired on Fox. It was the third clip show episode of #TheSimpsons.

it’s so weird to be old enough that the Internet keeps rediscovering stuff I grew up with and being horrified by it. yeah there was a freaky Mark Twain claymation movie. Saw it in theaters! The “Mysterious Stranger” but freaked me out! Pretty dull otherwise.

I always forget how the score for The Princess Bride wavers between orchestral and one random guy noodling around on a Casio until I’m knee-deep in the movie.
I never remember how goofy the Ladyhawke music is right from the jump.

The Max Headroom Christmas Special must be seen to be believed.

My favorite part is in the beginning where each of the guest stars’ names look like they’re flying out of the turkey’s asshole.

If you see this, repost with your model of positive masculinity

“we need more positive examples of masculinity in media” they cry and yet there isn’t a massive attempt to make butch lesbians normalized.

The mural in my hometown.

From the sidelines, I watched them film this movie.

I saw that prosthetic nose long before anyone else.

I was five years old. It was my first glimpse of showbiz.

40 years later, he blurbs my books, gifts them to friends and is my most high profile fan. What a circle.

I literally went Googling to see if they were back, because I assumed there wouldn’t be ANY branded product in the show that wouldn’t already be immediately for sale as you’re watching (but, nope, Peanut Butter Boppers are THE one thing they didn’t bring back for some reason!)

Huh, I had no idea that Chiang had designed The Outrider. Interesting to see the guy for most of the prequel designs messing with Joe Johnston’s original trilogy design language.

This ship was designed for the 1997 Special Edition.

Spotify is emblematic of the worst parts of modern tech capitalism: a company screwing over artists en masse to funnel money into a technology that they hope will make artists obsolete.
