The land rises with the calm of an old guardian.
Wind carries the stories that were never written.
Light moves across the layers like a returning ancestor.
Stillness keeps what time leaves behind.

If you like adventure stories or canoeing and kayaking, you should pick up a copy of Pushing the River by Frank Bures. I enjoyed it, and here's my brief review.
Pushing the River Book Review
Recently, I read Pushing the River by Frank Bures and enjoyed it thoroughly. The book documents the history of marathon racing on the Mississippi River, other stories from the region, some of the author's personal adventures and his brush with death on cold water. Overall, it was an entertaining read and well worth picking up for your winter reading. I find book reviews somewhat tedious, but I did want to recommend this book to PaddlingLight's readers, so I'll be brief with this review. The History of the Paul Buyan Canoe Derby…

It was too hot. (Kell's) tongue curled trying to get away from it, but he swallowed it down--grassy, dark, a little hint of mushroom and pungent valerian root. No honey, of course. Shuahn always liked things unvarnished.

that the president is a rapidly decaying lunatic is the worst kept secret in the world right now

when It Happens, we are going to get countless accounts about how bad it was and how everyone knew and it's absolute malpractice that the same media that went full court press on Biden Old ignores it
"A key European ally of Trump said he was 'traumatized' by a meeting where the president’s 'psychological state' came across as 'dangerous.’ Robert Fico, the populist prime minister of Slovakia … characterized Trump as being 'out of his mind,' per a diplomat."
