I remember one morning after a 7th Street Hüsker Dü show that my head hurt from too many beers, my ears were ringing from the extreme walking sound, and my body hurt from the slam dancing. It was glorious.

Hüsker Dü's new live album "1985: The Miracle Year" is sooooo good. It is an auditory explosion, almost an aural attack, forcing their righteous tunes into your brain. Highly, highly recommended. It makes me all the more jealous of @freealonzo.bsky.social who saw them in concert many times.

Good news! The old Northwestern National Life Building, designed by Minoru Yamasaki, has been sold and will be repurposed. According to the article, some of the building will be open to the public. Now if someone will just buy the Izzy’s Ice Crean building …
