It's just so stupid, embarrassing, disastrous.
Norwegian PM Støre says Trump repeatedly raises—complains about, pleads for, and demands—the Nobel Peace Prize every time they meet. Støre gives same answer each time: decision is made independently by Norwegian Nobel Committee, with no role for Norwegian gov—a concept Trump appears unable to grasp.

The reason the UK knew the operational parameters of the Argentine aircraft and missile systems was because they were French.

And the moment the war kicked off, the French government quietly slipped us the full specifications.
Untrue, of course. UK got lots of support, and never asked for military intervention. But it's not the South Atlantic Treaty Org. At US insistence to avoid colonial wars, NATO only covers Europe, N. America, and the Atlantic north of the Tropic of Cancer. e.g. Hawaii and Guam aren't covered, either.

This is a very good point. The November 2025 US National Security Strategy never mentions the Arctic at all. The idea that it's a genuine security priority for the Trump administration is not credible.

When I lecture to students about how the apparently thriving economy of the 1920s was really a house of cards just waiting to be knocked down, one of the points I stress is how much a small number of the very rich were essentially propping up consumer spending in unsustainable ways
The top 10% now account for nearly half of all consumer spending.

I can't trust politicians who are anti-trans. Not because I'm "only searching for perfection" which is what centrists will be accusing me of for the rest of my life, it's because if you're not pro-trans you'll be garbage on lots of other issues too. Being anti-trans NEVER exists in a vacuum.

The creation of CSAM on X is unrelated to whether children use the site or not. So what Badenoch appears to be arguing is that only adults should be allowed to look at CSAM. She’s also implying that that it’s rather judgy and illiberal of the govt to “not like” a CSAM generator
