Hitting the streets as an observer is one way to fight back against ICE, but it's not the only way! I jotted down a few ways to get involved, based on my experiences. Many of these can be done from home. I'm sure I missed some.

Remember:

- Action is the antidote to despair.

- You must engage in solidarity with your community, not just your friends.

- Illness is a tool used by fascists to harm vulnerable groups & weaken resistance. Wear an n95 mask. Give/get mutual aid at link below.

- Rest, reengage, repeat.

Important thread. You can’t defeat fascism by behaving (even a little bit) like a fascist.

the thing is, universal human rights are only universal if they include everyone, even the groups of people society has decided are less important (children, prisoners, people with names you can't pronounce, homeless people, the unemployed, disabled people who don't make good inspiration porn, etc)

We do not get out of fascism by saving ourselves and turning our backs on others. We get out through solidarity with everyone—especially the most vulnerable.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

All meaningful forms of resistance boil down to radical love of self and others, even when it’s inconvenient, and stubborn belief that change is possible, even when systems loom large and powerful.

Don’t let the bastards convince you otherwise.

this store is 18+ and they’re strict as hell about it. none of this has ever been about “protecting children,” it’s about trying to force trans people to disappear
After a boutique on South Street received a warning letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for selling breast binders for gender-affirming care, the region’s transgender community worries about the potential wider impacts.

But huge high five to everyone who pushed back against fascists and bigots and will continue to do so in 2026 and beyond!

We are going to win.

All these fascists bound to lose.

Greece’s brown bears rebound as protections reshape rural landscapes. Brown bear numbers in northern Greece have risen to an estimated 870, roughly four times their 1990s population, after hunting bans and long-term conservation efforts.

If AI is allowed to continue, not only will we de-skill ourselves but also an entire gen or two will never learn these skills themselves. And it won't take that long. The US gov and their fave tech billionaires want us all to be like these guys, dependent on them to drive a car and write a sentence.

Heard from a friend at Disney+ that there are multiple levels of freakout internally, both from internal dissatisfaction, concerns about subscription cancelations, and of course the big one: concern about a boycott spilling over into parks and cruises.

A producer told me once she has to warn young crewmembers to avoid being alone with Aykroyd. "Not because he's a creep, he's a gentleman. But if you let him strike up a conversation the next thing we know all the PAs will be huddled in his dressing room learning how humans evolved from dolphins."
I love Dan Aykroyd because he has very clearly entered the stage in his life where he is going to make sure everyone knows about his special interests and he has the profile and resources to do it in a high profile manner. You are GOING to hear about rocks, dinosaurs, vodka, and ghosts dammit.
