According to the FEMA Daily Briefing a presidential disaster declaration was requested on October 16th. To the best of my knowledge it hasn’t been granted. Any event of this size should be an easy and immediate yes.

Yeah it was worse than I originally saw, it was like a 10ft x 3in diameter branch and then some 1in diameter branches all cut and left to hang and ruin the bark/hurt the tree. This tree had a major break from spring snow so it can't take all this damage :(

Someone vandalized our apple tree again. Cut down, improperly, a 3 inch branch and let it hang and strip the bark further back. It wasn't in anyone's way, just was existing and being a gentle tree. :(

If you cant attend in the crowd today, but do have a chance to drive by, honk, wave, cheer, etc. I firmly believe that still does a lot to show support and solidarity with those around you and it always gets the people in the crowd very hyped up in a positive, connecting way!

If youre protesting this weekend, please wear a mask! Covid and other viruses are circulating - I know several people who are/were just sick. It is important to make things accessible, especially because most minorities, especially disabled people, are much more likely to have the worst outcomes.
