And I'm going to tell you something else. When you read a book, there were days that the writer hated everything they wrote, days they cried over the page, days they ate an entire bowl of candy corn just to fuel the useless words. But the reader can't tell, because you can always fix it later. 9/

In an effort at something good on the internet today: A thread on Mr KJC, gingerbread architect of the early 21st century.

Mr KJC got his beginnings like so many gingerbread architects: with a kit house for the kids. Kind of fun but the premade pieces are dry and nasty, only technically edible.

All my recent books went from hardcover to trade paperback and almost all of my backlist in mass market has now migrated to trade. The role of mass market paperbacks is now handled almost entirely by ebooks. I'm okay with this but it is the end of an era.
