I am trying out Storygraph but tbh I'm not sure I can cope with the book page garbage. Learning if other readers thought the characters were 'loveable' is so far from being in the top five things I want to know about a book. Or top 100.

In the queue to book a driving test. Site opens at 6 officially. Logged on at 5.57 and was 10,000th in the

For new drivers getting a test is harder than Oasis tickets, but my relative with diagnosed dementia got an instant slot and the DVLA fell over themselves to keep her on the road.

We had a whole day yesterday when it didn't rain and now we are paying a thousandfold for our hubris. It's like a Greek tragedy but with weather instead of incest

At the Saracens match. Behind us, a small child shouts, "Yay, Leicester got the ball back!", and added the most incredible MUWHAHAHA supervillain laugh I've ever heard.

You may laugh, but the Macbeths are a much better role model for a marriage than Romeo and Juliet. They discuss their problems (killing the king of Scotland), share their hobbies (killing the king of Scotland), and resolve their conflicts (by killing the king of Scotland).

Up at 5 to take Mr KJC and Jr to the airport. It's now just me and the cat for a week. I'm going to clean the house and then sit here watching it stay clean for a while.

My elderly cat's still got it! And when I say it, I mean a mouse in the sitting room.

shocking absolutely no one, @kjcharleswriter.com has done it again. *puts down How to Fake It in Society with a satisfied sigh, but only briefly because I'm probably going to start a reread in about five minutes*

I've done quite a few interviews in the lead up to the release of Wuthering Heights. I really enjoyed the Big Issue's focus on
Heathcliff as Landlord (yet another thing that goes missing if you chop out the second half of the book in adaptation!)
Wuthering Heights: Heathcliff is just a really terrible landlord
The new Wuthering Heights adaptation is in cinemas. Will the new film portray Heathcliff as a hearthrob or the cruel landlord of the novel?

Have they...have they used AI to create a co-worker who's a whining dick? Is that what the planet is dying for? What's next, a machine intelligence that leaves the milk out?
AI agent writes a PR, gets rejected, crashes out and writes a call-out blog post

Oh my god yes. If I see one more grifter or lackey crying about how it's so mean that all they did was steal our work, laugh about taking our jobs, and destroy our environment, and now we're not NIIICE to them and it's not FAAAAIIIIIR.
Man I'm so goddamn sick of ai. "Wahhh you can't have a reasonable conversation about ai on here," yeah maybe be mad about the two year parade of scam artists and financial charlatans and environmental ruiners who have radicalized everyone against the spell check that agrees with you
