New Yorker: "Yes he's a sexual predator, but have you considered that he's a white man?"
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

Louis C.K.’s Next Chapter
In a new standup special, and a début novel, the comedian navigates murky, post-#MeToo terrain: not quite exiled, not quite welcomed back.

As a producer I can not fathom for a second why you would want to put members of your cast and crew in the line of fire of someone with a past of sexual assault or pestery. Those people are your responsibility.

Choosing to forgive is one thing; putting people at risk is just fucking reckless.

Demand would likely be higher if the product wasn't, for most purposes, garbage.
Three years into the generative-AI wave, demand for the technology seems surprisingly flimsy

Sheesh it's depressing watching the rubes fall for Trump’s obvious media ploy with Zohran. It shows you how we got here. People are credulous and gullible to the end.

Imagine, if you will, that NASA updated its website to suggest gravity might not exist, prompting CalTech and CERN to release statements saying, "With great sadness, we can no longer recommend listening to NASA."

This is what's happening in epidemiology.

@bastet8300.bsky.social Follow this to the end. It's worth it.
Ok so it's cold now, right, which means the Horf is getting grain and also some supplements to help his joints and some to make his hooves stronger and his mane and tail more beautiful. To avoid the goats taking it from him, every day I walk him down to the barn to eat his meal in privacy.
Dammit a Shabbat dilemma just occurred to me now, after Orthodox friends have serenely logged off.

For their fantasy of white supremacist cohesion over actual safety

JUST ONCD SWEET GOD
She wanted to run for senate. Trump wouldn’t let her. She knows she has no path to higher office through MAGA. She’s been getting popular with the left cause you’re all a bunch of fucking suckers. And she taking advantage of the moment to make a noisy step and gain more attention.

American Fascism is so fucking lame, bro. Mussolini called back to Rome. Nazis made up this whole batshit aryan mythology to paper over Germany’s actual history as backwater barbarians. MAGA’s just like “remember when ads were full of white people and cars didn’t have pussy liberal crumple zones?”

If the parties were reversed here, we’d currently be blanketed with ads and speeches detailing all the crimes that were later committed by people who assaulted police but were pardoned by the president.

Think Willie Horton, but true, and a much larger scale and, uh, not racist?
The message from Trump is crystal clear - if you beat the hell of out police, if you threaten to kill FBI officers - I will make sure you get away with it if you are breaking the law to keep me in power.

If you don't see it, this is a message about 2028.
