FASHION & ACCESSORY PEOPLE, HELP: I like to sign up for the teens on the gift tree request because they seem to get overlooked. A 14 y/o girl has asked for "big red ash nylon shoulder bag" but I can't find anything like that in stock anywhere. All suggestions appreciated!

"Picture a fascist trying to exert control over a cat. "You can't sit there!" they'd bark, pointing to an off-limits chair. The cat, naturally, would hop onto the chair... "Oh, I didn't hear you over the sound of me not caring."

Great advice, @brittlestar.com!

Yes, slick regime change really isn’t a reality, so any plans by our government to attempt regime change is always going to be ugly, brutish, and largely unsuccessful. It’s like me trying to force someone else to change - no one is going to like the results, and it’s a crappy thing to try.
Also, America doesn’t do slick regime change now, if it ever did. What it does is: it collapses the government then leaves the country to fall into violent anarchy, so that it’s ripe for domination by friendlier countries in the region. You can decide whether that’s by accident or design.
Cracks me up how you could just replace Venezuela and Venezuelans with Iraq and Iraqis and it’d be indistinguishable from something written in 2002

If you like what we’re doing, give us a follow, throw us a donation, share our stuff, etc.

Even so, he said, “the cruelty that goes on that facility … must be 100 times worse." religionnews.com/2025/11/15/a...

One could write: "The Epstein emails show how New York City elite protected predators."

And then just write it. Write what the sources say. Don't compare to today (I assure you they are still protecting predators; millions just voted for Cuomo). Just write what the sources say.

It’s baby octopus season 🐙🦑

Saw this little guy last night with the Salish Sea School in Anacortes, WA as part of their free community dock walk I volunteer as an interpreter for.

We can tell it is a giant pacific octopus from the single line of chromatophores on each arm.

Fun fact: The clerical collar, as we understand it today, was invented in the mid-1800s by Protestants — not Catholics. Which is why Protestants use them.

However, U.S. Catholics adopted it in the 1880s, eventually mandating it for priests.
This is your regular reminder that not everyone who wears a clerical collar is referred to as a "priest," but, instead, often referred to as "pastor" or "minister," and that this has been true — and, in the heavily-protestant U.S., the *literal norm* — for centuries.

Every day women have to do shit to try and prevent men from killing us just because “they don’t like” us and might decide that today is the day they want to murder us with a sledgehammer. I wish this were hyperbole.

What an horrific tragedy.
