Halftime performance showed how most Latinos love America, even if some parts of America do not love them back.

It showed the reality that Latinos and Spanish are part of America's culture, its history, present & future.
As references to salsa show, this is not a new phenomenon but a good reminder.
Bad Bunny brought Puerto Rico to the Bay during his Super Bowl LX halftime show on Sunday.

A Labour MP remarks: "Starmer will go down as the worst PM in Labour history ... He’s a coward who refuses to take responsibility for his own actions. He is a moral gravity-well from which neither decency, honesty or integrity can escape. A genuine disaster for this country and the Labour movement.”

This is awesome but it’s absolutely unconscionable that Minneapolis or Minnesota leaders haven’t ordered an eviction freeze.
Before the charity stream began, content creators from @minnmax.com and @giantbomb.bsky.social weren't sure what number to aim for — maybe $30,000 or $50,000.

Within 15 minutes, they raised $58,000 for local food pantry VEAP. Within an hour, $100,000.

This is why I moved off Substack to Ghost. The Nazis will migrate to any big platform but when a platform actively promotes them, that is a choice
for the terminally online this is *far* from a revalation and also, i *really* hope that it will push more people to jump to another platform. there are places that will help you migrate your newsletter and don't profit off hate speech.
Revealed: How Substack makes money from hosting Nazi newsletters

If only there was some guy who was tailing ICE who was happy to work with the media.
wrt to some of the replies to this post, part of why the media has “moved on” is because it has become extraordinarily difficult to document ICE activity on the ground, outside of them arresting citizens.
A desperate plea sent to me by a Minneapolis resident who's been on the front lines since the beginning of the ICE occupation:

Companies are trying to exorcise AI skepticism and spent more than $1.7 billion on AI-related advertising last year — an ongoing marketing blitz that will be inescapable during the Super Bowl.
Can these Super Bowl ads make Americans love something they don’t like?
We asked experts to review four commercials trying to win over the AI-skeptical American public.
