Time to don my apron, roll up my sleeves, and start to think about ink!

Unrelated to the sheer awfulness of David Davis' 2005 "It's DD for me" campaign, the woman on the right is Fay Jones, who would go on to become Conservative MP for Brecon & Radnorshire in 2019. She was beaten by the Lib Dems in 2024.

The real breast scandal in British politics is David Davis promoting the outdated idea that DD is a huge bra size and not actually relatively small when correctly measured.

I hope Polanski decries the outdated +4 measuring policy that has crippled our nation's lower backs for far too long
David Davis with two women wearing pink T-shirts reading 'it's DD for me'. What a fucking naff time it was

Looking back at this and seeing a Labour government choosing option 3 in the most petulant manner possible…

…because this Labour government is determined to be worse than Thatcher for LGBTQIA+ people.

He’s flagging that 🇬🇧 is in breach of it’s obligations with the result being:

1. They change the approach

2. They lose when this gets to the ECHR

3. The 🇬🇧 leaves the international human rights body we imposed on Europe to stop the rise of fascism happening again.

Making life more difficult for migrants helps nobody.
Making it harder for people fleeing war and persecution to find safety helps nobody.
Labour pushing xenophobia as policy helps nobody.
Pandering to far right politics doesn't combat far right rhetoric or "build trust in politicians"

We can all bitch and moan and call out the utterly contemptible policies suggested by the likes of Reform and the Conservatives, but if that same condemnation is not applied to Labour then it shows it is not about supporting migrants, it is about being party political. 2/

Hmmm.

Alaskan airbases are subject to permafrost melt and frost heave. As Arctic ice melts, that opens the Northern Sea Route and the Barents Sea for longer, with trade and resource access tensions. More traffic there accelerates warming and extreme events.

Physics doesn't care about "beliefs".

Day 320 of not regretting leaving Labour.

Reeves leads attack on the environment (which includes us!)

But bankers will get their bonuses more quickly.
Guardian headline: nature groups rebuke Reeves for “cynical” 11th hour planning bill changes. Guardian headline- UK bankers will get their hands on their bonuses more quickly.

1)You may remember the articles criticizing liberal students for their hesitancy to make friends with conservative students—alleging that they were less open-minded than their conservative counterparts.

Ah, the pay-for-play red light district of party politics, where lobbyists rent rooms by the hour to send messages to politicians and voters.

Can't have dissenting voices pointing out that North Sea extraction doesn't reduce energy prices, or that net zero doesn't drive high energy prices.

A small gripe in the grand scheme of things but this shows what's increasingly obvious to people attending UK party conferences

Many fringe events are not open discussion of policy & political options, but *adverts* for whoever is paying for the event

Sustainability expert was told panellists discussing North Sea oil and gas were meant to ‘agree entirely’ with each other

My thanks to @danielrooney.bsky.social who explains that B2 is equivalent to a good A level grade in a modern "foreign language" hence the A level reference.

But most people won't require that score it's just for people like doctors and church ministers

None of that detail is in the announcement and required some digging.

I'm happy to be corrected by anyone if I've got it wrong but in fact from what I've read it's not that unreasonable... and isn't that different to what already existed.
