It's the return of Hallowindow!
A window in a high rise that has been decorated for Halloween by using black paper to make tree limbs, and paper jack-o'-lanterns sit on the limbs and hand from the limbs

If you have a crock pot or instant pot, curried winter squash.

Dice and dump buttercup, butternut, pie pumpkin, acorn, delicata, or any mix of those. A couple parsnips to make zippier, carrots to make it sweeter, an onion. Cover with coconut milk, and add lots of your favorite curry powder.

kid rock as porta potties: thread
Kid Rock wearing pink and looking stupid. A porta potty that matches the pink of his ugly ass shirt.

Was just at a comedy show here in Portland, someone from Seattle, who kept checking his phone for the game info.

I didn't know baseball went that long...

"Giant robots fighting giant monsters!!!"

She kinda got a worried look for a minute, then nodded, and said "It's so good you've found one another, innit?"

An ex of mine and I were excited about going for opening night. He had a British neighbor who was not a sci fi type.

She asked us our plans for the night, we said "Seeing Pacific Rim!"

"What's that?" She asked.

We looked at each other then back at her, and in unison blurted out...

It's just frustrating to still see!

I think the emergency naked bike ride should pivot to an inflatable costume ride, hahaha.

Oh, I'm in a couple leftist spaces and don't worry, they're still complaining about how it's wrong. That it's not serious enough, watering down the movement, and diluting the true threat of ICE.

Haha, I was hoping their attorney was one I used to work with. Alas, seems they are with MDI, not MPD.

I air fried a lobster tail the other day.

Zero shame, only easy cleanup!

Traveling by any method can be dangerous, so that's a silly question.

I would have never become a cyclist if I didn't live in Portland. Between the infrastructure and transit, plus the weather, there's nowhere else I would have ever considered it, and I've lived in 7 different states.

It's a very emotional step to get rid of my car. I grew up in the rural South, so a car meant freedom my whole life.

I'm just trying to mentally adjust to a different type of freedom.

Portland has Zipcar, and I have a friend who will loan me his car as often as I need, so I will still drive some.

Yeah, I was SO unsteady at first, I had not been on a bike in 20 years, except for getting a Biketown bike a couple times.

I had a 20 minute walk to work that I started biking, even though it was so short, and that little day to day really improved my confidence.

I got an ebike that I figured, honestly, I would wind up selling after a year of non-use. And it did take me a while to find a comfort level.

But now, three years later, I'm about to sell my car.

All of these maga weirdos are just absolutely deranged.

The first two comments on this post are from people who either live on this literal road, or travel it regularly with a child going to school, meaning they likely live nearby.

Scrub Jay, what are you doing? You don't even fit on that feeder. It's for the finches and the chickadees!

(New life bird for the 9th floor urban feeder!)
through the space between two window blinds, a small bird feeder is suctioned cupped to the outside of a highrise window, and a big ole scrub jay is in it. inside, a white and orange cat in a bed looks on

I live on 4th, down near PSU with the section that's already done, and I'm really looking forward to this.

As close as it is, making my way down to Naito requires being on the road on 4th and on Market, both of which allow cars to build up too much speed, and the drivers are angry all the time.

I live on 4th Avenue, and I'm looking forward to this.

I live on the section that's already done and the bike lane is completely blocked off, which is frustrating, lol. Let me use it for 3 blocks to get to Jefferson!!
