Time for a new introduction. I’m a science fiction author from Bristol in the UK. I’ve written over 20 published books, had my work translated into numerous languages, and won an award or two. I mainly post about books, writing, and my part-time job in a bookshop.

As far as I’m concerned, December is going to be a month of laying the groundwork and gathering strength, so I can hit the ground running with the three books I hope to write in 2026.

Farewell, Tom Stoppard. I studied Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead at school, and even though I graffitied the cover of my copy so it read "Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Daleks," I very much enjoyed the play.

Inspired by all your Thanksgiving photos from yesterday, I picked up a turkey thigh from the local shop and made myself a quick Friday roast. Turkey with bacon, potatoes, carrots, and Yorkshire puddings, all made in the air-fryer.
