When someone puts "evolutionary" before a type of science in their job description you can just about guarantee they're going to tell you why men (usually) shouldn't be blamed for acting like arseholes because evolution made them do it

The BBC reporting on Beth Upton’s current employment situation is definitely not in the public interest, and it is insane how much the British press freely get away with harassing her for the crime of simply living her life existing as a trans person in the UK.

I think the most consistent pattern in legal cases in the past year is a complete refusal by judges to take trans people's human rights seriously. The consequences of being named publicly as a trans person in a high profile case were dismissed for both Dr Upton and Rose Henderson.

Every single person involved in this hate campaign and everyone who has supported them - Anas Sarwar, for example - needs to be run out of public life the way they've run Dr Upton out the NHS. Being trans isn't a risk factor for people around you; this obsessive hate absolutely is.
Susan Smith of For Women Scotland is quoted in this piece saying that Dr Upton leaving the NHS will be "a relief to female patients."
The employment tribunal found that Upton had done nothing wrong! She was completely innocent of any kind of harassment!

She *thinks* she's bothsidesing it in public, but still gives away that she thinks trans people are only OK if they "stay under the radar", and also that telling kids that many trans people "pass" is misleading them??
