Something i would like folks to understand about the police raid on Westminster Quaker Meeting House. The right wingers thinking its a slam dunk to correct folks about it 'not being a meeting for worship, it was a room hire'
They are wrong, and its ignorance of Quakers, their history and praxis.

That the labour party see anything Zach Polanski is doing as a "threat" rather than the ideal ally in a desperately difficult time for the UK is pretty much everything wrong with them. Labour dropped* the torch of representing the people, Greens picked it up.

I googled his name and 'crowdfunder' earlier and yikes, is that grift flowing for him.
He must be clocking about quarter a mil in dark money via about 4 different sites. The give send go was my fav, he wants 3k to get a private investigator to do his stalking for him.

Shabana got to go on to get her academic career after failing the Grammar school test, after all, so maybe just let people come here to work if they want to, and let their employer worry about if they are suitable? Language skills are acquired best in situ.

Watching the people attacking hotels they assume house those seeking asylum, i very much doubt many of them could pass A Level Eng Lang but they all seem to have money for stella, cocaine and kebabs. So maybe being academically good at English isnt needed.

I did something really clumsy in group physio yesterday and everyone laughed at me. I laughed at me too, it was slapstick daftness. So its not being mocked that is my issue. I can see why that was funny AND i was the the butt of the joke. No-one was mean, but it was funny.
So maybe its just nazis.

That said, i get told i cant take a joke, but then my partner is hilarious, my bestie makes me laugh aloud every time we see each other. I know they aren't indulging me when i make jokes.

No-one can ever explain to my neurodiverse arse why these 'jokes' funny.
I say this a lot, i know, but comedy and jokes have structures and patterns.
Think of anything that is a joke that makes you laugh, you can say why its funny. The timing, absurdity, a pun etc
Its never jokes, its dehumanising.

I have an ex who was diagnosed with "Non-specific uterus discomfort' when she was doubled up for months at a time. That isnt a diagnosis, its misogyny. They would do nothing. It was tumours.
She nearly died.
Same goes for how people talk about trans bits.

There are also 101 medical things that can happen to cis women that cause a life of pain, sex drive death, discomfort etc and magically no-one who is obsessed with trans people's genitals seems to ever care about those people's 'sexlessness'.

I am sad that he had to retire, he was such a fierce advocate for trans women especially. He knew he was saving lives. I know there are complications, people dont get the results they want etc, i don't want to diminish those women.
