All this said - should you ever see that YouTube is claiming my music on your video, please reach out - I add exceptions as they’re asked for. I know it’s cumbersome but it’s the only recourse we have.
Seeing how much hassle Content ID has been for actual fans making videos, I wish I could take it back. But Distrokid doesn’t really let you do that and makes no upfront indication you can’t just turn it off. The trouble for them isn’t worth the ad revenue.

I can tell you AI is causing such a headache at work that as a senior software dev I’m spending more time cleaning up after its mess than I am doing meaningful development. Folks using it don’t understand how to fix it before it ends up on my desk.

Just submitted "Electrum Malleus" for distribution. This will include instrumentals. The Bandcamp release didn't have them because that made it exceed the 74 minute limit. But I don't press CDs so it doesn't matter anymore. Folks who still burn 'em will still see that the main tracks still fit.

Something that has bothered me for years and years was how the "s" sound in "just me" in the first passage of the song "Lost Again" got swallowed in the mix and I'm finally addressing that

I got a kit of 4x32GB DDR4 two years ago for $259 and now that same kit is listed at $629. It’s like this across the board for old and new memory. I think retailers are complicit in some kind of scheme here.

I spent some hours with Diablo 2. I really tried to do it. It doesn't pull me in like 1 and 3 did. I don't see in it what (seemingly) everybody else does. The core gameplay loop is pretty good. But I don't know how many times I can do this many different basements with the same walls.

Lesson of the year is, under no circumstances should you ever try to save money getting secondhand NAS drives. They usually got a lot of hours on them already. I should have known this.
Sweating. The two drives failed at the same time and I am so lucky that the failures happened in a way such that I can still use the other two to get the data off. I’m not having good luck with technology this month…
