it’s really important to have publications like People covering this because it’s going to get seen by so many people who don’t consume political media
People Magazine is incredibly clear eyed about ICE being a terrorist organization. I’ll probably buy a subscription because of it:

It is incomphrensible to Trump or Miller that someone would risk their life to try and keep a neighbor safe, that they would do so nonviolently, and that they would be mourned and remembered for it.

my hot take is that I don't think it's this website specifically that's toxic. the Circumstances are toxic and nobody really knows what to do about it so they come online and scream. and if I may offer an alternative: actually going outside and screaming feels better.

counterpoint - dem consultants have constructed new wings on their homes with that donor money
It is crazy, Democrats raise billions of dollars during elections and essentially waste it all on terrible TV ads. There is no long term planning for changing the media environment and no political organizing that spans multiple election cycles.

one takeaway from the grok noncon porn thing is that much of the media just isn't interested in an issue they can't pretend has two sides or that doesn't give them an opportunity to shit on the left. Also it would be uncomfortable to justify remaining on twitter after acknowledging it
