We ousted NYC's clown mayor and elected Zohran. Next up: taking the fight to Albany and flipping Congress.

We’re proud endorse CM Crystal Hudson for Speaker of the NYC Council. Her leadership, vision, and commitment to working families make her the right choice to move our city forward.
New: New York’s largest health care union, 1199SEIU, is endorsing Crystal Hudson’s bid to become the City Council’s next speaker, becoming the first major organized labor group to get officially involved in the race, which hit a fever pitch overnight. www.nydailynews.com/2025/11/26/p...

[Natl Dem base clamors for Hakeem Jeffries to be primaried]

[Hochul and leg. already rolling over]

[DSA apologist]: Jeffries could not be more popular. There's no case for endorsing a challenger

"We like staying small potatoes" is fine to say. That's the way everyone - esp. Jeffries - will see it
First, "Dem leadership is less popular now" is objectively untrue: within NY-8, Jeffries's approval ratings are sky-high.

More importantly: Nothing you've said refutes the point that DSA has very little presence in NY-8 and has accrued very little political capital of their own to spend there.

How bad is Kathy Hochul climate policy?

Hell Gate counts the ways.
They call her "climate killer Kathy."

The centrist Democrat has gone all-in on setting the climate on fire as crypto-investors, fossil fuel executives, and her own husband cash in.

As someone active in both NYC-DSA and NY WFP, I can affirm: both are essential to the Left's success.

NYC-DSA consistently cultivates the NYC Left's strongest primary campaigns and advances a clear vision for socialism.

NY WFP coheres the progressive Left ecosystem to make socialist wins possible.
Back when Eric Adams just a racist corrupt cop mayor, i took the advice of guys like Greg and @bdlimm.bsky.social and joined WFP to work on ousting him. I firmly believe the D.R.E.A.M. play the WFP ran in the primary was how we got Zohran.
If you’re in NY, you absolutely should follow and join the efforts of the @nywfp.bsky.social. They are ACTIVE and ON THE BALL and a big part (along with many other parts) of how Mamdani won.

This is a good time to join the WFP @workingfamilies.org I'm a broken record and if they ain't going to learn they need to learn by us not cooperating with their party anymore and building a political force that is so big that can hold different tenants but still have values.

Old enough to remember the "steep cost" and "lack of preparation time" for Newsom and CA Dems to launch a Prop 50 campaign
Not to over-meta stuff, but the redistricting fight is a glaring example of how so much Republican strategy revolves around assuming Democrats won’t fight back. They truly didn’t fathom that California and certainly now Virginia will retaliate, and they have realized immediately they are now fucked.

Evergreen: there has never been and never will be a credible Trump/GOP Congress plan to repeal & replace the ACA. The only plan has always been repealing/deeply cutting the ACA coverage expansions & cutting rest of #Medicaid to help pay for tax cuts for the wealthy. That’s what HR 1 did this summer.

When I worked in WaPo Opinions in 2017-2018, senior editors specifically told junior editors not to factcheck Marc Thiessen and other MAGA columnists, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to publish anything by them at all, and “we need them for intellectual diversity.”
It’s very telling that opening your publication to MAGA “thought” requires a massive downgrade in quality control.
