This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

@governorwalz.mn.gov knows that if he declares a peacetime emergency, he'll have to admit that we are actually under federal occupation and he hasn't met the moment. Coward.
Axios reports @governorwalz.mn.gov won’t call an eviction moratorium because it is “legally fraught” yet the definition sure sounds like one. www.mprnews.org/story/2023/0...

They're building concentration camps with my tax money Chuck. They're torturing children. They're murdering innocent people on the street. What are you doing.
Our DHS reform demands are exceedingly reasonable.

We're asking ICE to do nothing more than follow the standards that the vast majority of law enforcement agencies already follow.

Republicans, the ball is in your court. The clock is ticking.

Much of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown is concentrated in Minneapolis and surrounding cities. But federal agents are making arrests across Minnesota and community members are banding together to keep watch and support immigrant neighbors. A view of the resistance from Northfield.

@governorwalz.mn.gov, thousands of aggressive, untrained agents injuring and terrorizing Minnesotans, is an emergency.

"This must end." Yes.

As the chief executive of Minnesota, what actions are you taking, what tangible steps?

There is no actor in "This must end."

@governorwalz.mn.gov, what actions are you taking, what tangible steps?

DHS executes Minnesotans with the clear threat "you're next." What actions are you taking to stop them?

Or are you also just watching what happens next?
They’re taking kids from Minnesota and sending them to detention camps. They’re shooting American citizens in the street and locking investigators out of the crime scenes. The world is watching what happens next.

@governorwalz.mn.gov rent is due today. You are not powerless. You can minimize these abductions and violence to residents of this state by letting people shelter-in until this federal occupation is over. Enact an eviction moratorium now.

If you're wondering how mainstream media is covering the broad-based peaceful resistance in Minnesota, this morning @cnn.com aired footage of the Minneapolis 3rd Precinct fire *from the 2020 riots* as if it happened last night. This isn't just misleading, it's a dirty rotten lie.

Actions do speak louder, @governorwalz.mn.gov.

What actions are you taking, what tangible steps, to make a draw down happen?

DHS executes Minnesotans with the clear threat "you're next." What actions are you taking to stop them?

What is my governor *specifically doing* for "meaningful change?"
Actions speak louder than words.

Tom Homan says he wants to do things differently, but we have yet to see meaningful change.

The only way to ensure the safety of the people of Minnesota is for the federal government to draw down their forces and end this campaign of brutality.

Which does not mean backing off, but pushing harder.

All these people need to go to prison, at the least. We learned from Jan 6 that we need to jail everyone right up to the top, or they just come back after being pardoned by the worst president in American history.
Border Patrol is pulling out of Minneapolis. Bovino is ending his punitive tour of blue cities. Calls for Noem's resignation are mounting, even in conservative media. Senate Democrats are dug in now on refusing to fund DHS and ICE. "Abolish ICE" is now a mainstream position.

They are losing.

They chose to join. They chose to participate. They chose inhumanity. They chose violence. They chose to keep working after being told what they had to do. They can choose to quit. But I feel no sympathy for anyone associated with ICE. They’re a disgrace and deserve every negative response they get.
