The continued attacks on our trans neighbors 🏳️‍⚧️ is disheartening and despicable. Our trans community doesn’t deserves this hate. 💔
The House passed legislation today that would charge doctors with a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison for providing transition-related care to minors.

Rep. Sarah McBride strongly condemned the legislation in rare personal remarks ahead of the vote.

My kids are starting daycare. The teachers are spectacular, but they don’t like going because it’s different. They keep asking me “will you come back at the end of the day?” And I know that I will and I can’t possibly think of my family in that moment and it is breaking me.

Fuck ICE.

I really love the people of Minneapolis and how we’re all showing love for each other right now.

I notice dem senators being disappointingly terrible (again). I’m angry about that too.

AND

I notice my community being amazing. Supporting, protecting, feeding, nurturing. Get out of your house. Go make some friends. Be astonished how cool people are and what beautiful things they are doing.

@klobuchar.senate.gov what the fuck is wrong with you actually, I’ll forever laugh at the story of my ex’s shitty mother getting you to cry over bringing up that your kids didn’t attend public school in MN years when she ran against you. Congrats on being in alliance with that Trumper now, I guess.
Here are the 28 Dem Senators who voted to advance the first federal ban on trans athletes & a federal definition of sex that would make trans & intersex people non-existent: Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), Chris Coons (DE), ->
By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).

Disheartening to see federal agents take two neighbors on 29th & Pillsbury. Chemical irritants were used on observers by them.

MPD showed up on scene, created a pathway for these federal agents to kidnap our neighbors, and assisted with controlling the space. Disappointing and heartbreaking.

I am so proud of how Minneapolis is fighting back against ICE.

I am so ANGRY about ICE.

A deeply sad morning, with heartbreaking mass killings in Providence & Sydney.

Innocent students killed in a classroom. At least 11 people by gunmen at a Hanukkah celebration.

Too many guns here. Frightening levels of antisemitism globally. So much senseless violence & hate.

And get your flu vaccine.
JFC, influenza has EXPLODED in numbers, here in the Twin Cities. Unless you love feeling like absolute shit, I would highly recommend wearing a mask, in all public indoor spaces.

If you’re doing patrols in cars, don’t just follow any car s with tinted windows. Lots of people have them and you’re freaking people out.

Also stop needlessly shouting DO YOU HAVE A WARRANT. They’re doing kavanaugh stops in public spaces, including cars. Just document, warn with whistles.

I am not “donating to mutual aid to support people less fortunate”.

I am sharing what I currently have to strengthen our community’s ability to care for each other and I know I will also be supported when I need it.

I am a fan of slow. Take longer.

Knitting takes forever.
Making nice mends in clothing can take hours.

Fast is good sometimes, but please let slow be the default. Let fast be the exception.
