I'm committed to partnering with advocates to create a responsible path forward for the industry federally, similar to what has been done here in MN, in order to support MN consumers, small businesses, and farmers.

Tonight, I’ll be joining Anderson Cooper on @cnn.com to talk about standing up to Trump’s racist attacks on our Somali neighbors. I hope you’ll tune in to watch, I’m going on at 7:25p CT.
December 3, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Donald Trump’s disgraceful attacks on Minnesota’s Somali community are injecting more of his poisonous racism into our beloved home state. Hearing him single out our people based solely on their race and country of origin is downright disgusting.

My job as AG is to help Minnesotans afford their lives, which means guarding against predatory lending practices.

I am launching an inquiry into buy-now pay-later companies to determine whether they comply with Minnesota law and treat consumers fairly.

In this time of unprecedented attacks on our freedoms and the rule of law, I'm grateful for the opportunity to defend the people of Minnesota as your Attorney General.

Happy Thanksgiving, Minnesota.

I am shocked and appalled by the shooting of two members of the National Guard in Washington D.C. today.

There's still a lot we don't know about the shooting. In the meantime, I'm hoping the victims fully recover. My prayers are with them and their loved ones.

If the Trump gets his way, tens of thousands of formerly homeless people will end up getting evicted from their homes through no fault of their own.

I will not sit back and allow this administration to throw families out on the street.
November 25, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Donald Trump is not a king. Yet, when Donald Trump tried to dismantle government agencies created by Congress to reduce homelessness, support small businesses, resolve labor disputes, he did exactly that.

I will always protect the important work these agencies do. and uphold the rule of law.
November 24, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Donald Trump wants to turn us against each other, but Minnesotans don't turn on our neighbors. People from all walks of life and all across the world are proud to call our state home, and Minnesota is better for it.

ICE's actions in Minnesota this last week are deeply disturbing. Masked agents in Northfield pulled a father out of a car at gunpoint and arrested him in front of his son. After, ICE claimed he attempted to drive over agents despite the fact that he was in the passenger seat.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance, honoring the trans, nonbinary, and Two-Spirit individuals who were killed in acts of anti-trans violence.

To our trans neighbors: I will always stand with you against violence and continue to fight for a world where you can live with dignity, safety, and respect.

It’s hard to afford your life when your landlord is illegally coordinating with their rivals to keep your rent as high as possible.

I will keep fighting to end these unjust practices and to make the market fairer for renters.

It’s unacceptable when scammers target any Minnesotan. It’s particularly galling when scammers go after Minnesota’s veterans, who have risked and sacrificed so much on our behalf. Anyone preparing claims without authorization is breaking the law and taking advantage of veterans.

Trump spent the weekend golfing while intentionally letting 42M Americans go hungry. Today, I joined @agrobbonta.oag.ca.gov, @newyorkstateag.bsky.social, @newjerseyoag.bsky.social, and staff from City Harvest & No Kid Hungry for an update on our fight to protect SNAP benefits and feed our neighbors.
November 10, 2025 at 9:06 PM
It should never have come to this. Trump chose to hold hungry Minnesotans hostage while billionaires got richer by the second. I will never stop fighting to unrig this economy and the powerful interests — including in the White House — that profit off it while Americans suffer.

Online platforms offering sportsbooks and casino games run by out-of-state and overseas operators may make it look like online gambling is legal and safe in MN, but let me be clear: it's not. Thanks to Comm'r Jacobsen and the MN Dept. of Public Safety for partnering with my office on this issue.

Yesterday, I visited the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center and food shelf in Rondo to talk with @mccollum.house.gov and Ramsey County Commissioner Rena Moran to talk about the importance of SNAP and ensuring no Minnesotan goes hungry.

I am proud to stand with them and to fight Trump's cruelty.
November 4, 2025 at 7:43 PM
While we continue to the fight in court to fully fund SNAP benefits, food banks like @2harvest.bsky.social are helping to feed people.

We will not stand by while Minnesotans go hungry.
November 3, 2025 at 9:24 PM
I won’t let Trump use hunger as a political weapon.

His Department of Agriculture has multiple ways to continue feeding hungry Minnesotans during the shutdown. And instead of using it, they tried to take food off the table of kids and families across the country.

Recently, I joined 38 of my fellow attorneys general in urging Congress to clarify federal law with respect to hemp and synthetic THC. This has generated some confusion, and I’d like to clarify what the letter means.

It is hard to be shocked by the cruelty and illegality of the Trump administration anymore, yet I am shocked that Trump is deliberately allowing 440,000 Minnesotans, to go hungry.

I am taking the Trump administration to court to help feed people in need.

Trump is trying to roll back the Minnesota Dream Act. My office is fighting this case to ensure that thousands of MN students have affordable college access.

Thanks to the students who wrote in to thank our office and to share your stories.

This week, the MN Supreme Court ruled that trans athletes have the right to compete in sports without discrimination under the MN Human Rights Act. My office proudly represented the MN Dept. of Human Rights in filing an amicus brief for the case.
