Game writer. GenXer. Snark and cheese, always. Recent widow, also recovering from child’s suicide. (Yeah. My shit’s fucked up.) 80s pop culture purist. Every day is Halloween. 🎃

The video game lady, not the comic book one, though she’s cool.

I’ve been gone awhile because things have been very hard at home. I find myself at an unfathomable point, and my heart is absolutely broken. If you’re able to donate and share, my gratitude is deep. I never wanted to get here. Thank you for your consideration and assistance. gofund.me/0b0592ad0

It’s crazy being a narrative designer who wrote fake emails and seeing this many real emails from rich evil people with brainworms and going “sheesh even when I had to be extremely on the nose to clarify objectives and shit I was still leagues more subtle and human-sounding than THIS”

Can we circle back to the part where the NY Times never disclosed that they have incriminating information on Donald Trump from sent by Epstein that's been sitting on their email servers for nearly a decade?
Stuff like this makes me wonder why there hasn't been any reporting about Trump having affairs during his presidencies

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills: the emails from Landon Thomas has his New York Times signature block...he was employed by NY Times at the time. He was communicating directly with Epstein about Trump, and was given incriminating information about Trump. It's been in NYT's possession since 2015

Right, this event needs $1500 to happen. There are 600 participating bookstores & for most it’s their busiest sales day of the year, or is second only to Indie Bookstore Day / Small Business Saturday.

Editors/publishers, this is a no-brainer of an opportunity for your imprint. Romancelandia: pls RT
I'm gonna be real-real here: Bookstore Romance Day may not happen in 2026. By this time of year, I've usually secured at least a handful of sponsors & their backing helps pay for things like newsletter services & Canva & Zoom & internet, all of which are needed for planning & off-season events.

My jaw on the floor as I find myself unable to replace my YouTube TV subscription with a Hulu subscription because I am unable to log in to my Disney+ account because the "make changes to via iTunes" option is bricked and Disney's customer service line just loops back to "please use our online FAQ!"

I am not a Swiftie but it’s both wonderful and excruciating that her fiance’s name is Travis. They’re adorable, I wish them every happiness, and I hope she gets to keep her Travis for more than 9 years bc I would have kept mine forever. #FuckCancer

I’m here to share my completely non-scientific epiphany that all the problems in America right now can be traced to one thing: half the country was raised to believe people are inherently good, and the other half was raised to believe people are inherently bad.

This is so bleak.

It's cool how we keep proving over and over and over again that there's a significant market for narrative-heavy, character-driven, single-player experiences in video games and publishers just categorically refuse to believe us

Being unable to work while you have increased medical costs is a recipe for financial disaster.

Even if you plan carefully and have savings, they can be wiped out quickly if you have a major medical event.

They’re wiped out even faster in the US.

The USDA and Trump administration issued a memo ordering states to “undo any steps taken to issue full SNAP benefits.” I have never seen an administration work so hard to starve people. Don’t forget your red hats at the food pantry, MAGA.

Reading an article about how to cure yourself from hypervigilance only to see that it recommends “exposure therapy.”

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA no.

I’m already constantly exposed to the fact that my husband is dead now, thanks. At least I didn’t torch a co-pay for this “advice.”

There’s a sign in this hotel parking lot that says “it’s“ instead of “its“ and I freaked out my mom by going up to it and seeing if I could peel the apostrophe off. Just a little vandalism in the name of proper punctuation. Alas, it was painted with a stencil.

I saw someone on my timeline shaming someone else for posting about college football in a time like this.

Folks, if we're going to survive a time like this, we're going to need to avoid burning out from an attitude of 24/7 vigilance and constant outrage.

Let people find joy where they can, please.

All I asked for was money. Iggy needs a kidney.

I looked into whether I can help him, but physically, it’s not safe for me (autoimmune). 😓 Please, spread the word, or see if you are able to help. If these past few months have taught me anything, it’s that WE are the help that’s coming.
A plea for help. 🙏
One of the lead playtesters of Blue Prince, Iggy, has polycystic kidney disease and has only a few months to find a living kidney donor.

His story, contact and donor information can all be found on
iggyland.org

Please help us in sharing his story and getting the word out.💙

STOP publishing AI pieces that are this credulous and confidently, comically incorrect about language models

It is HURTING people. REALLY

This is the worst take that I have seen in any major outlet, and - frankly - feels a bit like it was written by AI
