About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages

Unfortunately, our transit system covers three counties in the metro area (hence, Tri-Met) & once you get out of Portland proper, it gets progressively redder & they won't want to upset the suburbanites who already do everything in their power to quash funding.

They'll never do it, but Portland's public transit cards are Hop cards & I would love to see this design on one. "Taking Tri-Met to a protest? We have a Hop card for that."

I'm usually not a fan of spiders, but this weaver themed ancient tome book box is the exception. I hand painted this in several different shades of blue, with an iridescent sheen. And this is the only book box with gilded pages!

It features a stylized spider in the midst of a web. The body is made of a sparkle blue/black filament sealed with high gloss.

This shows how the pages slide up to reveal a box inside.

Unlike most of my books, the sides of these ones are gilded! Sprayed edges, anyone?

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Agencies do not get $ out of the deal and may not remember to talk to estate clients. My agent was worrying about estates not being alerted

If you see a person who is protesting ICE or any other of the administration's evils & doing so from a place of belief/faith, even if you think that religion is bullshit, DON'T SAY THAT. There's no need. It doesn't make you edgy or cool. It makes you an asshole.

By their actions, they are proving their faith & giving lie to the supposed faith of JD Vance & his ilk.

Catholics aren't the only ones stepping up & showing what it truly means to live one's faith, but they are taking a lot of heat because Vance is supposedly one of them.

And as someone who was raised Catholic I have A LOT of issues with the Church. However, I have deep respect & gratitude for the current Pope & the members of the clergy & Catholic laity who are stepping up & walking the talk in the face of the current administration's racist, violent actions.

I am not a religious person & I despise the way that "Christianity" has been used by the current admin & its cultists as an excuse for hatred & evil, but I am equally appalled by the number of people I see dumping on & denigrating people who are practicing a truly compassionate & empathetic faith.

Just bc a book contains a protagonist between 10 and 30, especially a female protagnoist, doesn't mean it's YA. Just bc the book is written by a woman (or someone you incorrectly assume is a woman), doesn't make it YA. Just bc a book is fun, written colloquially, or has romance doesn't make it YA.
