Yeah. You don’t have to consciously *want* to banish or kill vulnerable people to be actively banishing & killing them. “I’m just doing what everyone else is doing” may make you feel like you’re not responsible, but rampant infectious disease spread isn’t an act of god. It’s a human choice.
This is what we mean when we say the majority position on Covid is eugenics, even when democrats do it. If your response to a vulnerable person is to expose them rather than protect them, you are trying to get rid of them.

Refusal to wear a respirator mask is rooted in refusal to accept the truth regarding Covid-19.

#COVID19 #respirator
The problem for most people is that wearing a respirator mask means having to acknowledge that the pandemic of Covid-19 is not actually over, and that things have not actually returned to "normal." For most people, irrational denial is preferable to acknowledging the uncomfortable truth.

It’s also affecting infant brains in the scariest way.

This shit isn’t over. They’ve just been super successful at getting you to not care.

Wear a fucking mask :)

"Exhaustion after fear is real exhaustion. It is not metaphorical. The body does not distinguish between physical threat and sustained moral vigilance. When I or anyone else tries to pretend it does not bother us, we are asking our system to carry weight without acknowledgment." -- Deborah Kaye

Serious thing for folks to consider is, particularly for marginalized people, Grudges Are Self-Defense. What you may be interpreting as pettiness is probably closer aligned to "You have demonstrated you're not to be trusted." And knowing who REALLY has your back is more important that ever.
I feel in my bones that the wave has started to crash back in and Certain People/Companies who thought they were safe to abandon everyone they’d been pretending to care about will suddenly realize that those people have money/power and I, for one, will be holding a grudge until the end of time 💜

Covid-19 is the Great Revealer, prompting people to shed their disguises, thereby allowing their actual character and actual values to be seen. In many instances, the character and values revealed are deeply repugnant: carelessness, recklessness, thoughtlessness, and selfishness.

It's interesting that people just totally forgot that masking in 2020 literally drove one strain of flu extinct. It no longer exists, because people wore masks.

And, that after a bunch of covid infections, they find it very hard to understand why you'd mention masks when talking about the flu

Despite threats, billionaires don't leave the largest population centers, because it's where there is the most money to be had from the collective value generated by human beings, and despite what they insist, they don't generate wealth; they collect it.

one of the truly depressing things about the culture war over masks is that we simply refuse to treat them as a tool to mitigate the spread of illness! it should be normal to wear a mask in public when you don’t feel well even if it’s not about saving anybody’s life!!!!! why would you mock that
or- and this will blow too many minds, for reasons that depress me deeply-

THEY CARE ABOUT OTHER PPL

hence find it totally worthwhile

TO DO THIS 1 EASY FKN TRICK THAT MIGHT SAVE A LIFE OR FEW (+if nothing else save ppl some real unpleasant days/missed pay)
These people aren't masking for shits and giggles- they are the immunocompromised, elderly, and others who are, or believe themselves to be, particularly vulnerable to infections of airborne viruses such as sars-cov-2, influenza, etc.

As a reminder since Covid, the flu, RSV, and norovirus haven't disappeared, please check the wastewater charts like you would the weather.
Yes, you should mask everywhere, but if you won't, at least pay attention to when the risk if higher and act accordingly.

Annual reminder that if you see a menorah in someone’s window, that’s an act of defiance against bigotry and hate. It’s also pride and bravery.

It’s says “a Jew lives here” and that’s both painting a target but also reminding everyone that we still exist and we always will.
