Hi, I'm der Glitzkrieg but you can call me Xander! I've been cosplaying since 2002, I've got a degree in Textiles and Apparel Design, and love making stuff. I've been active in the competitive scene since 2006 and have entered, judged, and run contests.

Patchy is casually pushing Marisa into the river, likely because they were being annoying. The usual thing. That is... yeah. That's a bunch of people dressed as rave-fashion variants of Bleach characters. This was circa 2008, you had to be there, okay. Junglist Massive.

Two cosplayers dressed as Juda and Rei from Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage, aka Hokuto Musou. This costume won Best Walk-On Master's Division at San Japan 2024 Two cosplayers dressed as masculinized versions of Marisa Kirisame and Patchouli Knowledge from Touhou Project. Marisa has just stolen Patcy's book, as per usual. These costumes won Best Walk-On Master's Division at San Japan 2015 A photo of two cosplayers dressed as Li Shuwen and Okada Izo from Fate/Grand Order. These costumes won Best in Show at Kawacon 2023. Two cosplayers dressed as Hot Pants and Diego Brando from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run. These costumes won, and this one is so weirdly worded, "Best in Division: Craftsmanship Division, Judge's Award". That's all one award. We're still not sure what it means, fully.

screenshot of a tumblr post from user “wildmansters” The thing that really boils my potatoes about Al in general is that I have been a creative professional for over a decade now and the devil has ALWAYS been in the details. Big and small, I've had single-person businesses rip me to shreds over how their colors turned out on newsprint, and have worked with huge companies with THICK brand guidelines with every detail of their brand identity laid out and enforced with an iron fist. But I guess all of that stuff doesn't matter anymore? Who gives a fuck if this Al generated baby has six fingers, that mom-and-pop shop is still going to use it. That rug from Temu says Happy Thanksgivirg? Oh well haha it's just a silly funny thing now (nevermind that you never would have given a B-grade item from a craft show the same consideration). I don't actually care that the Al Coca-cola ad has a truck that changes size every scene, but I can't help but think about how, if it had been some poor underpaid artist, they would have been laughed out of the building. I don't really know how to put it in a succint way but it just feels all the more obvious how much more grace and flexibility has always been possible but never offered.
